After encountering a set of 90cm boys at A-Kon last year... I can tell you they are quite lovely. Unfortunately they are also quite a handful. They are difficult to even get up on their feet, one owner didn't believe that her boy COULD stand. They are *heavy*, and have all of the resin posing 'issues' multiplied because of their size. Other than that, nice dolls. ^__^

I don't do much with my 70s because of their weight and size. They're half my height and half legs which makes them awkward.

If they were like the Obitsus it would be easier to carry them.

I love Taavi, my DZ 70cm boy, more than anything. He's the best cuddle buddy ever. I don't find him too difficult(unless he's in a mood) and while I don't have anything resembling upper body strength, I don't really get tired of carrying him around or holding him. That being said, I would not buy another one. He is the limit of what I can handle. I've handled some of the Ipelhouse and Soom boys and while they're gorgeous, they are just too much resin for me, so I can't even imagine trying to do anything with something larger. I think that there's definitely a market for larger scale dolls, and I think it's growing, but I think it will probably always be pretty small, if only because most of us simple don't have the room to keep them.

I started with SDs and worked my way down. Now I've got a nice collection of various sizes. I love 'em all equally (and my tinies collection has been 'sploding lately!).

I've got 2 70cm and a 65cm boy, and while I love them, I don't think I want more. If I had more ROOM, I might want more. I do admit I want another Fairyland Feeple65 girl, because I adore Chloe's sculpt, but Kess (my elf Lishe) refuses to give up her Feeple body now. ^^;

I also admit to really wanting a Dollmore Lusion. It'll be awhile, though, due to the cost of her. But I think she's fabulous, and I'd want her just for the fact that it'd be really fun to sit her in a child's rocking chair with a book and freak people out when they visit. ^____^ Plus, I have no desire for children, but I do love dressing little girls up (I buy fancy dresses for my nieces all the time for Christmas/birthdays) and Lusion just demands lolita fashion and lotsa frilly clothes. <3

And I thought 70cm was tall.

Like richila I wanted an Iplehouse EID to be one of my OCs. But after carrying a 70cm Dragondoll Cheng while his owner went to the restroom. I have doubt as to whether I can lug one around for the whole day.

I'm even resisting going 60cm since 50cm is such a nice shoebag size. :lol:

oh wow. I have seen those. Ivan is big enough for me, and even that's pushing it. I thought I'd go 70cm for the sewing aspect of it, thinking that it would be easier to run the larger clothes through a machine. (and Ivan was hot) but he's really awkward to work with. And I still failed at sewing for him. haha!! I actually find the 1/4 easiest to work with. Foster does what I tell him to. (most of the time.)

For me, there is not much desire to be shopping for "doll" clothes in the kid's section at Target.

Or Victoria's Secret. *pffftttt*

If I had to judge by looking at my collection and sheer numbers I'd have to say that it appears I'm waaay into 1/6 scale. Which I am. I have several dolls in the MSD size range and when it comes to resin I think this is really as big as I like 'em. Don't get me wrong- Olivia (58CM Lan) isn't going anywhere. But she's probably the only 1/3 I'll own unless I get a 1/3 obitsu. The 50cm are a pleasure to handle, pose, and dress. I could see myself getting a full size girl somewhere down the line.

lol if one looked at my collection, they'd see I like the MSD size. If they look at my wishlist, it's a toss-up.
