I'm not quite sure what to describe what went through my mind when I got home from work and saw the Luts body that goes with the epic wings at my door. It wasn't quite a squee, but it was something similar. If I had to try and type out something to represent it, it'd be somewhere along the line of " HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!"

But, yes, there was much excitement as I freed the doll body from it's box and attempted various times to put the wings on. Now all I need to do is find a Bory head to complete Hal's new shell! X3

I am in Japan! Woohoo! It's been hell getting here - my flight to Tokyo was delayed 4 hrs, so I missed my connection to Fukuoka, and had to get a hotel room. But I'm at the gate two hours early for my final flight, and I'm all ready to go!

We got out TV - a pretty decent deal I think as we got a 37in for about the same price we expected to spend for a 32in. Hubby and I were able to pull the 12 y-o Sony monstrosity off it's stand and out of the way, so now the new flat screen sits ever so daintily on the old stand. At least we don't have to buy a new stand for the time being.

But the true rejoice of the day? I ended up still having about $80 of my savings left over (after the cost of the TV and the purchase of my daughter's Doll Factory pet Conie)!! That combined with what I'll be able to add from the extra hours I hope to continue to get this summer means I might just go ahead and pick a doll. She'll have to be one of the lesser expensive dolls and I might have to wait a while to "doll her up" the way I'd like (or relearn how to sew). Still - I'm pretty happy about it.

It might be time to learn how to sew, the doll will be patient enough. When I got my beloved Xavier I had to buy him in separate pieces because of car bills. Being custom doll #13 "born" on Halloween everything has worked out.

As for the old TV keep an eye out for electronic recycling programs in your town. Saw a thing on TV where there's one that sells the neat stuff, like old oscilloscopes, to raise money for charity.

AT LAST!

Yeeessssss!

Although sadly, it makes me realize how much Edward and Bella's relationship seems to have borrowed from Buffy and Angel.
