usually a size 5/6, but I had a really stretchy size 4/5 that fits with a little tugging.

So 5 is the magic number. Thanks for the fast response!

I saw a custom Draculara with a fur wig, and it suddenly dawned on me that I could pull out the hair and get her a wig. It was kind of a face-palm moment!

Create-a-monster is so awesome. <3

I got the dragon and werewolf pack at wal-mart today with my christmas money! These things are so cool! I was being a waffle at whether or not to spend $20, but I went for it. (I'm so weak haha) They only had the two starter packs.
I didn't really like the barrettes that the ears had, so I cut off the barrette part, and left the peg. Cut a little slit in the head, and tada~ ears are attached! I wanted them droopy, but if you wanted the ears in a normal spot you probably wouldn't be able to cut out the slot. Unless you rooted the head.

Monster un-named, but 100% awesome.

That girl is so cute with her floppy ears!

Got mah pack of hair today to start rerooting Jackson, went to gank out his old hair and oh my god that was the nastiest glue I have ever seen. It was like, nasty sticky waxy hairy chunks. Like troll earwax .___. Why on earth would they use that glue? It even made the hair outside feel all oily and weird. But anyway, Jackson is gonna have a Dollyhair mix of Vampire Kiss, Enchantress, and Kiss of Death, so a blend of dark purple and reds. He's going to be a boy vampire with similar coloring to Draculaura.

As for the Create-A-Monster, I noticed all sorts of nasty reviews for them coming up everywhere for being flimsy or fragile verses the character dolls and the many angry and disappointing children and parents over the shortage of torsos.

I find the torso shortage pretty much the sole reason why I haven't ponied up the cash for them. The two dolls that intrigue me the most, the dragon and bee girls, are two that don't have a full matching set of parts. The wrong color drives me batty! I know others are loving the skeleton, but she's possibly the only you can cheat with using the white Spectra or CA Cupid.

While I like the concept, and the dolls made are super cute, I think I would rather see more of these ideas land full dolls verses these incomplete kits. What about you?

You can also use the skeleton parts with Ghoulia (or perhaps Cleo if you want a fresher appearance) to make a more gruesome zombie. I think part of the reason they did these kits is they didn't want to have to develop these characters past the design stage. For most of the regular characters they have very well developed characterizations with appearances in the webisodes and bios and diaries. There isn't much room to put yourself into the character with them. The Create a Monster dolls do not have set personalities so they can be whatever you want them to be. I just wish they had included the parts to make whole dolls in each set. That way you could still mix and match but without any spare parts.

Can't wait to see him. And for future reference hot water inside the head helps to soften the glue, try not to dunk the face unless you want to lose some of it. I've nuked water for about 1 minute in the microwave, squeezed the heads to get the air out and sucked the water in. Using long tweezers I start at a temple and scrape along the scalp and it gets the hair out of the holes. The only problem place is along the part where you're bound to find big holes.

I've never rerooted with hair fiber before, what do you do when you come across those big holes? Do you just keep putting more hair until it's full?

When I was doing some of my scarecrow girls, I had very thin sock yarn, and I still had to put in about four doubled over strands in the gaping part holes. I can only imagine it would take a lot more hair to do that.
