A dollieh gender issue

Postby myotishia » Thu Dec 29, 2011 1:30 pm

I have a little YO-SD size boy that I just wasn't bonding with. I didn't know why. No matter what I designed or bought for him , it was if he didn't like anything I got for him. A new faceup didn't work, new eyes, new clothes, new wig, nothing made him "happy". I was ready to throw in the towel and pass him onto someone who he could love. Then something odd happened. I was redressing another doll, a girl, and her old dress landed next to him. Something clicked.
I slipped the dress onto him and it just looked right. So now I'm confused. I'm going to keep him, but do I buy him a new body or just new clothes?
Have any of your dolls ever decided to change gender identity?

Sometimes they do that. With how immature the body is, I don't know if I would buy a new one, just clothes, maybe a longer wig is s/he wants one. My Long just shocked me the other day by asking for a dress, even though he's definitely a man's man. Still trying to figure that one out.

Lol. Oh well, I've seen many men pull off dresses very well. I think I may get a wig for him/her (haven't worked that out yet). You're right, s/he should be fine with their body right now. A new set of clothes is in order.

My Momiji adores his very VERY girly pink dresses, and his heels. He'll wear some boy clothes, but usually there is pink involved somewhere and/or Hello Kitty. He doesn't want a girl body... he's just my girly boy. Sometimes dolls just surprise you.

Stick with a boy body unless they ask for a girl body. My Bory just stole a girl body until his body gets here.

I'm glad Niako isn't the only one.
I'm looking at a pink dress for him, so hopefully he'll like it.

Lol, body snatching. ^_^

At that size/format if you want to make him into a girl, just dremmel off his penis. It won't hurt him a bit :)

Yes, it has happened to one of my dolliehs.

Prizm was supposed to be a boy, but there was a spare female body floating around, so I popped his head onto it and... "he" decided to be female. (Prizm's head has never been on a male body... it was a floating head for a while, then was put on a female body when I changed one of my girls from the normal Obitsu female body to a soft bust.)
I have so many dolls that I can't fit all their names in my signature anymore. @__@

LOL - I know, it sounds so terrible, but people do that all the time if they want to have a different gender doll - and I know that with a lot of the yo-sd sized the only difference between a boy and a girl is the "hip area". Doesn't make sense to pay a lot of money for a whole new body when a couple of minutes work will take care of it though.
