What a beautiful place, Evelein.
The Dickens Festival looks like a lot of fun.

I live in Cobb County outside Atlanta, GA (US), home of the Big Chicken, The Varsity, The Dump (not the store) and The Fabulous Fox (google them)! It's as humid as South Florida in the summer (I know, I grew up in SFL) and we have more average annual rainfall than Seattle. It hardly ever snows, but let 2 inches fall and all of North Georgia shuts down - LOL!

I live in rural Alaska, in Kenai. It's on the road system so it's not as remote as Bush Alaska towns and villages, but the population is only around 7,000. We are kind of a small drinking town with a serious fishing problem. :D We have moose, caribou, bald eagles, bears, the occasional earthquake, the occasional volcano eruption (points to that big mountain across the Inlet), varying extremes of light and dark and, oh yeah, a whole lotta snow right now. It's a pretty place to live.
Just because you CAN doesn't mean you SHOULD.

Alaska? Cool! (Has family in Central...)

I live in between Issaquah and Bellevue (Washington), but I'm closer to Issaquah. Our house is next to a farm-turned-private school. Of a yard and a smallish field, most of our space is dedicated to plant life; my parents are always improving the garden. When they bought the property, they planted fruit trees, so now our family has a tradition of taking the apple crop up to Bellingham each year to make home-pressed apple cider.
We can see the Olympic mountains from our kitchen window :D

Thank you so much for answering. I like to know whereabouts people are.

I think people not indicating when they are turning is a worldwide problem. We have it here as well. I've also heard of people trying to do a u turn in a one way traffic circle .... Oh well, it takes all kinds to make this world.

I envy most of you. :? I live in north of Lithuania, Šiauliai town. It's most famous places are Hill of Crosses, Golden Boy and Iron Fox. I came to live here only on August of 2010. Before that I lived in my hometown, which is a little town with population of 12 000 (Šiauliai population is 134 000). I kinda miss my hometown because of cleaner weather and nature. But Šiauliai is surrounded by nature as well, so I suppose it's okay. :) Aside from those famous places, there isn't much to see. Here are some malls and one factory outlet mall which has this one cool shop where are some beautiful dolls cheaply. :) Overall, it's a typical town which doesn't really stand out much of others.
