Just to clarify, the 100+ dolls I have collected and will never throw away are 6" dolls, so they don't take up a lot of space
. The best looking dolls and all unique fashions I own are on display, the others are in boxes for spare parts or rerooting/fixing up.
I've been a bad, baaaad pack rat before, but every year I manage to throw away more crap I don't use anyway. It's just that I'm a creative person and I love having drawers full of different kinds of paper and creative materials... so yeah. Some things I just really can't throw away. I use more and more of that stuff at work though (I work as a primary school teacher), which also helps.
I've slept on it and it might sound weird but yeah, I think I'll sell Sosha and Eva, my 60cm Obitsus, or at least their bodies. But first I will do a new faceup on their heads now that I've improved, perhaps I will fall back in love. I'm afraid it's the bodies I've fallen out of love with though. It's the material, not the sculpts. I love Obitsu for my smaller dolls (I *really* want a little 11cm for example) but for the bigger ones I prefer resin. Even though Obitsus will always pose better - I just love the look and feel of resin, I can't help it.
DollyKim, do you believe your dolls have souls? Because I don't to be honest, and even though it will be hard to sell them when I do, I don't think I'll be hurting them like I'd hurt a pet animal after only holding on to it for a little while and then chuck it away. After all, dolls are just things... do you disagree?
