We might not get a basic Jackson if not enough people care for him. Don't think they don't have bots monitoring chats and online activity to see which characters get the most hits. I would. I'd see who's going for $100 on Ebay and who's lining the shelves. How many Duece and Cleo sets sat around for the longest time?

It's all about brushable hair. My Bram is essentially Keevan the Vorta with long brushable hair. Like a pony.

If they have employees monitoring the collector communities they would find the guys are very much in demand. I know I see many posts asking "where is basic Jackson?" When Angelic Dreams first had Skull Shores, Gil was one of the first ones to sell out and Sweet 1600 Clawd is proving to be rather popular too. Deuce and Cleo sets sat around because they are a two pack. I haven't seen any single packed DotD Deuces on the shelves. Even Holt was hard to find for a while and I still am more likely to find a Frankie than a Holt. Tho that doesn't explain Gil, I do think guy dolls in general tend to sell better if they are wearing formal wear for some reason.

I've seen a close up of the new Clawd and he's definitely got the new wrist joints, but like Gil his hands aren't human hands. Clawdeen doesn't have clawed hands in any normal version doll. I think that was only a special release with that. Could be wrong though. In this month to early next year they're releasing/have released 3 new bodies: New Male with Wrist Joints, New Adult Female (Nefra), and Monster Set Girl body. But the creator, didn't mention any of the current girls coming out with new bodies <.< Boys though are a different story. I think the probably will release another Duece. I'm hoping with the cupid doll release they do some sort of V-day release with girls and boys. Hey, I can hope :P

As for boy popularity, I think Clawd is super popular, it's just you had to buy in a two pack. I think that's why they re-released him, and DotD Duece is also very popular (At least around here) His basic was again released as two pack. If Duece had been released by himself, it might be different. Instead, Holt is the only boy by himself in basic form and he's the most mehhhhhhhhh ._. Also, I'd like to point out most of the Gloom Beach dolls /don't/ sell. Cleo/Clawdeen are about the only ones that do. I really feel that's part of the reason they made a Ghoalia version because her Gloom Beach doll is attractive. But the outfit/color choice one most of the Gloom Beach dolls is hideous x.x The Skull Shores line is actually super cute! but Gloom Beach meh <.< They're almost always on sell, and they're usually the dolls used in customizing for a reason :P

Could have to do with the whole Princess phenomenon. The Disney Princess' accessories are usually in formal wear. Must admit that was what I made Deuce for the cover of my pattern book.

It would be nice if they had more guy clothes than just Deuce's uniform. That could be a way to put out Jackson's school clothes. A generic tux and all that could be nice too. HINT HINT. The last thing I want is more Monsters I already have but it looks like I'll be fighting with myself over a couple with clothes I like. I'd like wrapping paper and/or fabric. The storage trunks are rather craptastic so I see making something or covering up a box for my Monsters. If you have umpteen of them and elebenty spare outfits you've got to keep it somewhere :/ I got to stop buying Monsters.

Oh I think the "guy dolls in formal wear" thing predates the whole Princess thing. I think it hearkens back to the idea of Ken being in a tux to take Barbie on a "dream date" back when most male musicians would wear tuxes and a guy would never dream of going to a fancy restaurant in jeans and a dress shirt.

Not really having looking through all 44 pages, am I the one of the only ones that prefers the male dolls only? I had a Cleo doll but hated how arched and tiny the dolls are. The males are bigger and sturdier. Shame there are only a few males out there.

Mmmmm, chicken
Actually, the fact that the line has several unique guys is one of the main reasons I started collecting MH dolls.

I just went through the vast majority of this thread, and I think I may snatch one of these girls for myself. Though probably after the holidays.

Actually, I saw a teaser back some pages of a Sweet 1600 Cupid! I've not seen any hide or hair of her on the thread since, but she's begging me to have her. Anyone seen her yet, or is she still upcoming?
