...and your mouse hovers over the checkout button!

Postby Jobee » Sat Nov 19, 2011 1:33 pm

Sometimes I just fill up a shopping cart at junkyspot with things I want, stare at it. Think things like "that's not too much, is it?" Then never click the Go To Payments button...

Do you have these times too? What's in your cart when you're doing this?

Right now I'm dying to make a doll of my husband's WoW character! So I always grab the Obitsu body, head, and hands I want! I agonize over the hair color choice :p

HEH!
It is good to know I am not the only person that does this. I have done it on Junky Spot, but only with the Obitsu 1/6 scale dolls. I have done it on Parabox and Fairyland. I also will add things to my eBay watch list and look over them, see how high the item is going for and debate on if I really need this, will I actually use it and can I afford it. I am so bad. I am trying to downsize my collection, but it is so hard.

Yes, I do that all the time.
What's in the cart: 60cm male body, 60 cm female body (to use with the Sheba head on the male body), a couple of 27cm slim males, assorted 27cm female bodies, Hujoo Is, various Resin Soul people, shoes and wigs for the tinies.
But, being unemployed and only getting $229.25 a week from unemployment is very effective for keeping my finger away from the button. I'm making clothes for the ones I have, who have been neglected. It compensates wonderfully.

Sometimes I do it for the thrill. (I have no life, you see....)
Preventing me from clicking purchase is common sense: don't splurge when Christmas, multiple friends birthdays, and holiday meals are right on top of us, followed closely by tax season. Then there's the omni-present bills.

*sigh*

Most often finding their way into my fantasy cart: BBB sky blue Ariel, Dragondoll Zheng, Dollzone Alpha fullset, and RS Mu. Let's not forget assorted clothes, wigs and eyes!
Caretaker of the Axelsen household: Aria, Annica, Aubrey, Azalea, Asher, Amelia, Alantril, Arivan, and Angora

I do it a lot, I think of it as internet window shopping. I also do mock orders of stuff I actually *am* planning on buying so I know how much shipping will be.

I like to put Delf El and Senior Delf Abadon in the shopping cart and calculate shipping and boggle. One day, I will buy Cain and Riff! ...just not now. Or in the foreseeable future.

Man, I almost did today! I really gotta sell the lifeless body I've had sitting around first. I'm sure she'd make a lovely doll for someone...

Oh yeah, I do this pretty often. Sometimes I'll even do it when I have the money and the total isn't especially outrageous. Especially this time of year, when money is more tight than usual, I'll ask whether I really need that stuff in my cart and often, the answer is "no".

I do that to find out how much it will all cost together with shipping, so I know how much I need to save up before I can buy my stuff >_<

I hope JunkySpot gets an Obitsu restock soon, or I'm going to end up not being able to order Anya's body when I order her wig and Rosiel's head. >_> on the other hand, I might pop her head on Prizm's body (which was intended to become Anya's body when Cassiel was re-bodied) and put Prizm on a 25cm instead...
I have so many dolls that I can't fit all their names in my signature anymore. @__@
