Well let me think here. I know it has to be Sera. $380 for the DZ LinLan, $300 for the Soom wings (because I lost a piece of the first set and had to buy a second set, and lucky to get them). $25 for the extra-long red wig, and $60 for two pairs of extremely special eyes from a buying service. $665. Wouldn't trade her for anything. JM was the most aggravating. Went through 4 heads before getting the right one, but I recouped most of that either by selling or re-using the existing heads.
All you damn kids get offa my lawn!

I suppose i could check and find out - but i really don't keep track of it. Price isn't what motivates me to buy a doll, it's whether or not i like the sculpt.

My most expensive doll is my Orient Doll Tae I bought him secondhand for $350 and went through 5 wigs and 4 pairs of eyes and had him modded before he was perfect.
The doll that costs me the most money is my Bitty Bitsu Nekomimi, Cordie. She has a Victorian Dollhouse, and a separate office in my classroom. She has a scooter, dragon, pony, and convertible. She has a laptop, a netbook, cellphones and a PDA. She has trunks of tiny clothing. Now, she wants a resin minion- A DHS Micro that she says is a jaguar girl named Miranda, Miri for short.

My most expensive doll related purchase was a 2010 Scion tC. Diamond and Hyatt wanted to go to St. Paul to see Hazel and they didn't want to go alone.
And I refuse to travel by USPS.

Oddly enough, while most boxed "hobby market" 1/6 scale figures have long since passed the $100 US mark and are now heading into the $120- $150 territory (with Hot Toys even higher), I've managed to keep my individual purchases under $100. I have a few dolls, all media property characters that have gotten to but not surpassed that mark. The Takara "In CG" (Cool Girl) version of Motoko Kusanagi and an obscure, Obitsu-bodied version of Leona from Dominion: Tank Police would be the two most expensive (although Leona was on sale). Just down a notch was a Toys R Us exclusive repro of the GI Joe Mercury space capsule and astronaut (actually, very impressive for the ~ $80-ish it retailed for at the time). Back to "just" boxed figures, there's the Armoury figure of Koshka Rudinova from Paolo Parente's Dust and the SWAT version of Ryotsu Kankichi that Bandai did back in the late '90s. Neither of those hit the $100 mark but Koshka was in the then-princely price range of around $65-$70 in 2003, while I got a pretty good deal on Ryotsu (maybe $60-ish) because he'd been displayed and needed some cleaning.

I would LOVED to have bought the various robots and "de Plume" troopers from Ashley Wood's World War Robot line but they are just out of my price range.

EDIT- Oooops! I almost forgot the haul I got with my Christmas money last year. I picked several BBI boxed figures that normally go for top dollar on the secondary market for way less than their usual asking price. I think the 2 figure Green Beret 50th Anniversary set was the major score, although still a little pricey. The big selling point for me was the figure of Col. Aaron Bank, a man I've always admired but who has slipped below the radar of American history.

You managed to get a Majour CG!? You insanely lucky person. She's one of the best looking releases of the CG line,I feel. I've got three I'm trying to get rid of,but I'm really wanting to get Oshi, the Majour, the doctor from Eva,Katsuragi from Eva,and Asuka from Eva. I had a Cute Honey and Bloody Rose, but my little sister destroyed them so I'm going to put them up for sale sooner or later. You're like the only one I know that's even heard of the Takara CG's though.

Anywaaaaayyyyy...Most expensive dolly purchase so far would have to be the obitsu 47cm/obitsu alice I bought for a little over $200. I sold that body a couple months back and I've been on the hunt for a Leekeworld Mikhaila body for the obitsu Alice head forever. I finally found one so I'm about to shell out like $340 bucks for it. @_______@

Probably in overall price but if you go with a X10 price factor (based roughly on blank body prices), paying $100+ for a 1/6 scale doll ( X10=$1000, 1/3 scale) is pretty hefty.

Ivan and Maric were around the same price when shipping was included, just under $400 each. Without shipping though, Ivan is still my most expensive doll at $336 for the Dragondoll Uncle. The Granado Boyd was $285 as a promotional deal, with free jointed hands, but the shipping was $95.50. Micah was only $300, and all my other dolls are BBB/RS and we all know how cheap they are. :-)

If/when I get Jim, THAT will become my most expensive doll, because he'll probably cost $600 or more.

Oh dear, I hesitate to ask what your sister did to poor Rose and Cutey....
Loved the CGs and was really disappointed when Takara priced them through the roof. As I type this, eleven CYs and CY hybrids look down from the top shelf of my desk- they didn't want to stay in the toy room with their sisters, and migrated out here where they can hang out with me. :) Revenger's probably in my top 10 if not top 5 most expensive dollies.

Yep, she was actually my last Takara Cool Girl. I almost bought the Deunan Knute they did but I fretted over the price until she was gone. Oh well...! By the time Motoko came out, I was really becoming disenchanted with the Cy Girls/Cool Girls line. The prices had gone through the roof and the whole "scene" had gotten a bit testy and "fan-boyish" for me.

I still wouldn't mind having that Deunan figure one of these days. :?

lol It wasn't as bad as you would think (no knife gouging or hair cutting),but when I found out their worth (not including the fact that those were the ones I wanted the most!) I was literally sick. I never knew the original prices of them from Takara. I only know the prices via eBay. The three I have (Ice,Aska,&Destiny) are just in my way (Hint hint @_@). Ice is my favourite of the three. I have seen some beautiful repaints and hybrids though.

I'm still jealous. So is my boyfriend. He has like serious thing for her was excited when I told him there was someone the forum that has one. By Deunan, are you talking about the one they did for Appleseed (I hope that was an official release)?. I don't blame you for wanting one. That's another my dear man is obessing over too. The prices on eBay for some of them are insane,I must say,but I don't know of any CG community (well, until know I guess).
