A question of scale?

I have just a quick question of what scale are some different playline dolls. Now I know Barbies and similar are 1/6 scale there is no question about that. But what about those current Polly Pocket and mini Disney Princess dolls? Are those 1/12 scale? And what about those Barbie MiniB dolls, are those examples of 1/24 scale dolls?

I think miniature army men are a comparable scale to 1/24, if that helps any...

Traditional "Army Man" scale is 1/32. A lot of the plastic kits and white metal or resin figures done since the late '60s have been in the slightly smaller 1/35 scale (BTW, just a bit larger but close enough to 1/36 which is "1/6 scale in 1/6 scale".)

The popular 3 3/4 inch figures, of which Star Wars and the '80s-'90s GI Joe line are two of many examples, work out to approximately 1/18 scale.

An easy reference is to work on the slightly incorrect assumption that a full size adult male is 6 ft tall. In 1/6 scale, this would conveniently work out to 12 inches tall, while in 1/12 scale, it would be half that size, or 6 inches. 1/24 scale is half again smaller than 1/12, so a 6 ft tall man would be around 3 inches tall in scale. Without seeing and measuring the figures you're referring to, that's the best I can offer you.

BTW, just based on some quick image and video searches on the 'net, the Barbie Mini B line does like kinda-sorta 1/24 to 1/22 scale. The proportions are really throwing me off though.

I don't think it matters, because they are still 1/12th scale of an average adult human.

I am more looking for the scale props and furniture to go with the doll would be than which category the doll is in. If they are children for 1/6 dolls then they would need props meant for 1/6 dolls to help show how small they are but I was wondering if 1/12 props would help convey the idea of them being super deformed adults instead of kids and with which dolls would you be able to get 1/12 props. I am wondering especially if the furniture for Polly Pocket or those tiny Disney Princesses would work.

I have a Pukipuki, a bunch of 3 3/4" GI Joes and a whole bunch of Polly (this is the bigger Pollies but from before the big-eyed revamp) stuff. The Puki is about the same height as the GI Joes. Some of the Polly stuff is okay for the Puki, but it's much closer to GI Joe sized, and even they don't fit in most of the furniture. It's a bit undersized even for the Pollies, which are half as wide as the Joes and like a fourth the size of the Puki. Their legs don't bend so they have very short couches, like Barbie. Polly's proportions are so warped that stuff that seems like it should be the correct scale isn't.

If you want them to look adult-sized with their furniture I'd recommend looking at 1/18 stuff. A GI Joe and a Puki's shoulders line up when they stand side by side. The Puki's extra 2cm come from the head, and I'm pretty sure it's the same for the bitty Bitsus. Actual 1/12 dollhouse furniture is great and much easier to find, but does make my Puki look child-sized.
