Postby animeangel09189 » Wed Sep 07, 2011 8:46 am

So I got a new sketchbook just in case anyone was wondering

but this isn't about that long story short every year my family members like me making a list of what I want for my birthday/christmas and I'm thinking of adding some dolls (hujoo jackie girl or abby monster high doll) thing is I'm still planning on getting a BJD later on my question is is asking for a monster high doll or something asking to much since I'm planning on getting a BJD?

This entirely depends on the financial situation of your family and friends as well as what they're expecting to spend on your hobby. Most like this is something you are more equipped to answer than strangers.
Obitsu 27cm Meryl, Lilly, Rhea, Stacey, Llywen, Lara, Aili
BJD Peyton (Non-official sculpt Happy D.I.M.), Un-named FL Chicline Lishe
RS/BBB Li(Ziili), Wu(Ba'ul), Yao. DikaDoll Rena(Lael)
CH Bisou Pepe (Charlie), CH Junior Ren (Allen), Obitsu 60cm Gretel (Cerise)

I gave my friend an Obitsu (fully customized by me) for her birthday and asked her to take me to Red Lobster for MY birthday
I have so many dolls that I can't fit all their names in my signature anymore. @__@

I'm making a list specifically for my dad's side of the family as video games and gamer related stuff are always from my mom's side (with the exception of my MOA ride pass) and I plan on putting the Deuce and Cleo De Nile gift set, some anime things mainly (from Code Geass and such) And perhaps I'll ask my aunt for a Hujoo Jake and then use whatever money I don't spend on my Yo-SD in turning him into Lelouch.

So I don't think your asking for too much.

I think that it depends entirely on your family and how much money that they make, how much you feel comfortable asking from them and how much they usually spend on you for christmas/birthdays.

My parents bought me my first BJD for my birthday a few years back... But they actually had seen how much i loved them and wanted them and asked me if they could buy one for me.
I felt kind of bad for it because my parents aren't the richest people in the world... But they insisted so i felt better about it after getting my first girl.
After that my parents have actually fell in love with my dolls and often ask me if they can babysit them to make clothes... lol

Maybe talk with them about it first and see if they find it within their price range?
