Anime Expo 2010 is going to rock. Not only is Danny Choo and the legendary Nabeshin among the GOHs, but I am part of two panels. One about Podcasting, the other about photography. I am totally excited. I won't have Yumiko's Daria cosplay ready for it, but she's got plenty to wear, as does Zetto and Namiko.

Aurym's body finally arrived today! Dude is damned happy to be in one piece at last. The seller included the certificate from HZ, too, which is quite amusing to read. When I got to the point where it listed the doll's race as Protoss... let's just say I was ridiculously geeking over it. XD

I'll have to somehow shorten the sleeves of his lab coat, now, though. His arms are slightly too short for it and he just looks silly like that.

I just did something silly. So very silly. I've never put a dolly on layaway before. And I kept saying that something like a puki, while adorable, was just too small.

....but the Realpuki Tyni is just so cute. ....And I wanted one. And the fullset was just adorable, and I found one in stock (the only one I've seen in stock anywhere), in White Skin, and....it's adorable and I was cranky and when my layaway is up in four months he shall be MIIIINE MUAHAHAHAHA...ahem.

I shouldn't be allowed to go on doll sites when I'm in a bad mood. My BBB Sprite and Ariel were both purchased when I was in bad moods, my Hujoo Berry was a definite case of blatant retail therapy (which did genuinely help, painting and dressing and fussing over a new doll is great for taking your mind off things). So yeah...

Also, Dr. Who is great for cheering up. And my mom works in the local library so when she saw that her boss had ordered David Tennants Complete Specials and her boss asked if any of the employees wanted to take any of the new stuff home to watch before it went into the system she brought it home because she knew I'd watched Who. I'd never seen the specials...really I'm dreadfully behind on Tennant's Doctor though I've head enough spoilers to know roughly what's happened, so that was a lot of fun. I really have to catch up on Ten. And see Nine again. And se more o the old Doctors, all I've seen of the originals was the first two stories from the First Doctor on DVD a couple years ago. It was cool to see the origin of the Dahleks! I'm considering ordering them from the library but the last time I did that it took over a year for the box set of the Ninth Doctor to come in. Hopefully if I ordered them again it wouldn't take so long because it's older now but now you can't even see where you are in line, so that kind of sucks.

Did you know there's a DVD of David Tennant's Hamlet out? Saw it at B&N when I was looking for a book they didn't have. Thought that was cool.

I had my designated Doctors, those who aren't others playing dress up, with my at the last meet.

I have DVDs of everyone but #9, Web Planet with #1, Brain of Morbius and Genesis of the Daleks with #4, The Five Doctors with DT's comments, The Two Doctors with #2 and #6, Ghost Light with #7, #8's movie, and The Next Doctor with #10. When I go back to the used store I'm going to see if they have a DVD with a couple of #9's episodes and a #2 and #3. When places like Barns and Noble have a buy so many get one free sale you can get a pretty good deal on some Doctors.

wewt, I won an OOP rare YST (Yoroiden Samurai Troopers.....or the ronin warriors I babbled about in the 'random thoughts' thread OTL) manga printed back in 1989.... by CLAMP o_O I never saw that one coming... Somehow I can't put CLAMP and a shounen show together o_O though I guess it can be described as a cross between Voltron and a for boys version of Sailor Moon...

EITHER WAY, I wonned it and it's mine >:3 ....in a month. T_T
I got lucky, it was 36% off the price and 20% off the shipping price.... for that day and some odd hours. So, being I was at my mom's place anyway for Memorial Day, I scrubbed the living shit out of their master bathroom early that morning (I found it at like, 4 in the morning, then woke up at around 10am to clean). She already offered to pay me fr it, so..... I just don't think she thought I was going to go that nuts :3 regardless, I raised enough in that bathroom to significantly not worry about the cost, roflmao.

But yayayayayay!

Now if I can just get my hands on the individual OAVs, in the least... (cause the box sets are $100+ -_-)

it is AWSOME!!!!!!! I think it is the first gen of the msd body. I am buying it second hand and dyed yellow(her OC was gold and sparlky). I have alot of sanding to to! I got his cute little face sanded and it makes his body look even MORE yelllow O.O. this doll is going to be alot of work, but he is worth it. even though he wasnt on my wishlist for at least three years, he has already told me his name and demanded difficult clothing to be made and spendy boots to be bought! I am takeing progress pics as I go, but it will be a few days at least before I have time to get an in-progress thread going. my job is takeing alot out of me right now...I have been neglecting my online peeps!
