The toons aren't too bad but there isn't really anything that you're missing too much of. I dont think at least. The diaries are kind of fun to read and give you a better idea about the character and the books didn't thrill me, they were cool but not really worth buying. I read mine in the store >.>

The diaries are worth your time. I've only seen a few of the cartoons- they're kind of cute. They feel like a monstery version of the old Archie cartoons. The books are a totally alternate universe.

Missed SDCC Ghoulia- she's sold out already, and they're all over the place on evilBay for twice the price or more. Bleah.

Really? The books aren't that good? Boo. I was just thinking about picking up the first one to read while I was on vacation.
A hobby isn't supposed to leave you wistful, regretful and vaguely disappointed. BJD collecting is as customizable as the dolls themselves. Do whatever pleases you the most, because otherwise, why do it at all? All for the 'Gram Bitches love the 'Gram.

It's just Malibu Stacy with a hat!

I know stuff like shoes are a beyotch for the average crafter. I can see using air dry clay or Apoxie sculpt to make permanently attached shoes. ~eyes spare DL~

Lols I just honestly want the box. The one thing that keeps me buying Monster High new is the fact they always put in new tidbits about the characters through the diaries, postcards, lists, 'survival guides', 'photographs' and so much more. The SDCC Ghoulia comes with a pretty awesome comic on the front of the packaging, a diary entry on the back from Ghoulia being a total fangirl and a pretty interesting bio about the comic book hero she's fangirling about.

I honestly love the diaries since they put a different spin on the personalities and it shows Mattel really did their research with their little jokes and nods to the adult fans.

The diaries are very, very much worth it. The books are, I guess picking up. Just when I was going to buy then they were 25 dollars a piece and for that price they weren't worth it to me.

Will start reading the diaries soon, but in the mean time...

I'm happy, love her colors, wonder if she's supposed to glow in the dark or something, wish her hair did...

I think I have a new favorite, sorry fish face, but I love all my potato chips in one way or another.

And I think her last name will be Van Der Whoops, accident prone family and why she ended up a ghost.

LOL! I like that. Van Der Whoops. Brings me into a giggly mood :)

And after donating buckets of old toys (okay, two buckets and a few more) I got to go out to Zellers in search of Ghoulia. First one only had a GB Clawdeen and two Jacksons. :/

Second one... I hit the freaking JACKPOT! All the Dance of the Dead dolls except Lagoona, ALL the dead tired dolls, a few of the Back to School/School's out, and, hiding way in the back... glorious little Ghoulia - who, in a crazy move from me, actually may be getting a new name. I love the name Ghoulia, but as I was staring at her on the car ride back, a new name did pop into my head. I really don't want to say she spoke to me, that doesn't sound right, but she did inspire me, that's for sure.

I've got to get some photos of her and Frankie and possibly the Doctor (who is not Doctor Who doctor but an entirely seperate 1/6th doll, or thereabouts. I remembered him on the ride home, and I think he's got something to do with the corpse sisters as I've come to call them!)

LOL, I know, but the thought of cute little Ghoulia in ubergeek mode-cosplay, fanfic and all- just tickled me. Besides, my first MH was the black-and-white SDCC Frankie last year, so I'd like to keep that string going. (And maybe buy the next one in person again, muahaha. :))

Scalpers, bleh. I wish them all a swift kick in the backside; and a shelf full of whatever they have squirreled away, gathering dust, to eventually be sold at original price.

Spectra is a creepy beauty. Must, must get my MH organized to create space for her and Ghoulia.

The "survival guide" that comes with Home Ick Frankie has a dress pattern in it. I wonder if actually works. http://monsterhigh.wikia.com/wiki/Home_ ... l_Guide%29
