When you look at the military/action-adventure/media property side of the hobby and it's almost totally opposite. I see more women in the vintage GI Joe part of the hobby but at sites like One Sixth Warriors, the membership is overwhelmingly male. Of course, a lot of those folks will claim that "1/6 scale historical action figures" aren't dolls and I've even seen some incredibly heated and long-winded diatribes defending that position but that's exactly what they are.
