30 degrees celcius in summer?! That sounds like a perfect place for doing face ups so long as it doesn't rain. And I'm used to the celcius system too...moved to US almost 4 years ago and still not getting used to the measuring units.

Oh yeah, and U has a name: Elodie Tarte!
The ever growing wishlist: Hujoo Dana, Obitsu 40, and an army of other Obitsus with anime style heads.
The more expensive end of my wishtlist: Limhwa Half Elf and Elfdoll Soah, my dream dolls.

The downside to the Dutch climate is that the weather is very humid, and so are the Summers. But let's stop talking about the weather ;)

I picked up two Barbie horses (including the walking one!) for one dollar each at a yard sale, and about 7 Barbies for .25-.50 cents each, so I'm ready to try and make a centaur!

AND I managed to find another Fairytopia Barbie while I was out. (Missing her clothes and wings, but she lights up and the hair looks okay, so WIN)

My mother is doing AWESOME. Better than ever actually. Seriously.

She doesn't need extra oxygen anymore, but that's not all. She's rheumatic and the past few years it's gotten harder and harder for her to walk normally. She lost more and more strength in her legs and her balance got really bad. But... now that she's had these pulmonary embolisms and she's been on blood thinners for three days, she can suddenly walk better than she ever has in the past five years. How weird is that..? It's so awesome to see her walking normally... I've seen her walk like a penguin for so long now and she could never walk very long without too much pain.. now suddenly she can..! Anyone with a medical background who can explain this..?

That's great Evelin!

Maybe because her blood was clotting is was affecting the muscles and joints in her legs? But now that its not clotting like it used to it's allowing the blood to flow better or something?

I'm not sure, hehe. I'm not a doctor or anything it just sounded plausible.

That's what my family and I, all non-doctors, are thinking too haha ^^, sounds very plausible indeed!

With the thinned blood, the circulation to the legs is increased.

I'm not a doc either, but I can tell you that every bit of the medical literature I looked at says that pulmonary thrombosis generally starts with clots in the legs.

When this crisis is over you need to go beat some of her doctors over the head for not seeing this sooner.

Haha yeah I should, she has seen SO many different doctors the past few years and none of them knew what was wrong. She was offered back surgery even though they said it probably wouldn't help much... so yeah, she didn't go for that option.

But do you guys think the bad walking will start again once she stops using the blood thinners..?
