Hello!

Postby Dollies and Dragons » Thu Jun 16, 2011 9:33 pm

Hello, my name is Dave and I have 2 dolliehs. One is a Dark and Defiant Delilah Noir named Liddell. She has a Lady Onyx body. The other is a 27cm obitsu named Lacey who is half her size! They seem to get along well and they each have their very own little chair to sit on. I want to start an online obitsu store one of these days as their aren't too many american dealers. Here are some pictures of the girls.

Hiya and welcome to DS!
A hobby isn't supposed to leave you wistful, regretful and vaguely disappointed. BJD collecting is as customizable as the dolls themselves. Do whatever pleases you the most, because otherwise, why do it at all? All for the 'Gram Bitches love the 'Gram.

Welcome to the group - especially since guy members are few and far between so we're always glad to welcome another :) Can't wait to see more of your girls in the group. I've got a Dark and Defiant myself, but she's not in front of the camera right now as I'm modifying her wig and her faceup :)

Welcome! Your girls are beautiful.

As far as the store, I have considered a doll store but I wouldn't carry Obitsus only because JS already does. Their service is so good that I don't know if I could top that. The shipping is very reasonable and I get my stuff in three days. (I've ordered abut 6-7 times and each time it only takes three times from order placement to getting my stuff from the West coast to the East coast.) I mean since some of the prices of the items from Obitsu/Parabox are the same or a little cheaper than getting it from Parabox, I don't know how anyone would be able to beat that and still make a good profit?

Thank you. That's actually a good point and why I've chosen to start mingling with the community. One thing that our site would offer would be "complete" dolls, ones that come with faceups and clothes. Paladinari on the board here does doll clothes and she's done some awesome work for her own doll as well as mine. One thing I found lacking on parabox was some good clothes for Lacey. Most of what she has is either custom made or stuff I bought from people on Ebay. So I figure a one stop shop that can offer some rather unique clothes might fair well despite the competition.

Also, I'd really like to offer custom faceups but I'm terrible at them and we would need someone with experience doing them.
