My daughter's first SSI payment arrived in the mail today - totally unexpected since I was told we'd have to wait for direct deposit to go through (which meant another month without child support)! AND it was more than I was told (even if we back out the funeral payment that may or may not be part of this check).

I'm so thrilled - it's such a heavy weight off my shoulders. Now we wait to find out about the insurance.

Finally got my window fan in, now that its creeping into the 70s and 80s here. Of course though the cord was two inches too short to reach the plug... meaning theres now fifty feet of extension cord all over. But no longer sweating up a storm just sitting still! =D

One thing I can say about ceiling fans is they do their job cheaply, better than AC if you're debating. In the winter reverse the way the blades turn and they force hot air down. It's done well for me in 100 plus temps.

Already have the ceiling fan, its been on since April xD Every room in my house except the bathroom and my parent's room has one. Right now every room but the bathroom has a window fan in as well, plus a large standing fan in the main area of the house. Temp wise its not bad here yet but it gets just so humid in the Pine Barrens, its all swamp and sand and ocean air.

I get my new glasses tomorrow!!! I'll be able to see clearly again. Apparently my eyes are horrible, not that I didn't know that, it's just funny when the Dr. asks if you've run into any walls lately(and does a double take when he see's my current prescription), and the lady helping fill out the papers, says that if you don't get the special thin lenses that the lenses would be too thick to be in the frame. <_< I've worn glasses since I was 6(first grade), that's almost 15 years now.
