Lol, thanks everyone! Wow, people sure are friendly here... <3 I haven't done an intro post in a while, so this is really awesome.

Hurray for overlapping hobbies! I think that's part of the reason I like dolls so much. :3

Overlapping hobbies are great!

You can make jewelry for you dolls, definitely.

I knit and crochet, and that seems to work well with dolls too. So does felting. If you need more hobbies...

Eseme, I have been looking into learning how to crochet, actually. XD; It looks like a lot of fun, and way more portable than beading...

roguewolf128 - Woot beads! I guess I could call it more freeform? Since I'm barely getting anywhere with it, I can't really say, but I don't really do the traditional designs you see in Native American beading. I just really like making "fabric" out of beads, a needle, and some thread. :D Right now, I'm working on a simple chocobo "picture" using brick stitch and really, really sucky 6/o beads as practice. I like how it looks, but those beads... Dx

Have you ever tried a bead loom? I use it to make bigger bead pieces, and it might be easier than the brick stitch.

I have used a bead loom once before, but unfortunately I have no idea where it is. >>; I think a closet monster might have eaten it. The brick stitch isn't too bad though, since what I'm working on is a small piece, with big beads. But definitely would want to go the loom route if I wanted to try a bigger project.

I remember being frustrated by my bead loom, because it was pretty cheap and had gotten somewhat bent out of shape, and didn't hold the warp threads very firmly. I wonder if there's a way to make a homemade bead loom...

I would probably venture a yes on the homemade bead loom, it has to be some were on the net...some were. Any way, good luck with your project, and I hope you post pics :3
