I think what this individual failed to realize was that, while this board is fairly new, many of us have been part of the same on-line community for years. We're a fairly tight-knit but still inclusive group and we know each others behavior and reputations pretty well. As I said earlier, and many of you had reiterated, someone who has been here 10 days and made a few dozen post (I think 39 was the final count, much of that in the last two days) hasn't even gotten well known on the board. Well, until now!

I was even tempted to begin thinking that this was all some sort of elaborate troll attack but I dunno. It all seemed a bit too authentic for even a good troll.

Yea, I don't really remember when I read about it or where. It may not be a national move, but its one of those things that people who think you can rewrite history want to change. I understand, believe me, not liking a word that is a negative label, but removing it from a classic novel will not change the attitudes that existed at the time. Next they'll want the word "slave" removed. And yet that won't change reality either. So much wiser to teach children that what they are reading is what WAS, and why what was acceptable then no longer is NOW.

I don't have a manager of a Hot Topic Then again I don't have a Hot Topic for my dolls. If I did they wouldn't have half the Beiber and Fred crap the local one has. I have been inactive for a bit because of being busy with other stuff and I get a PM from someone I don't know and then get a long message of drama and am so confused. I do thank the moderators for keeping stuff on the forum so that I could try to figure out what was going on and am thankful for this thread too. I think it was handled well and I think I would have lost my temper too. She had no right asking for names and should have let it go.
