I use buds on my iPod but I never let the volume go above a certain level. As the only person in my immediate family with "good ears" I want to protect them. Pete Townshend finally revealed it wasn't volume at Who concerts that did damage to his ears, it was headphones being too loud in his home studio.
What kind of headphones did you get? I used mine to and from work today and the sound is muddy. More bass than I'm used to as well. And of course I pitched the packaging and reciept last night after opening them. I'll just have to consider it stupid tax. I'm thinking that I should've paid the few extra bucks for the Sony ones...the pair I'm replacing is Sony and the sound quality was much better.
I went with Sony, my particular pair were on sale for around $20-$25 because they were designer or something and are trimmed in bright pink. It's one of the things where I'll splurge now, any brand you know makes good electronics should work. Each pair will have it's own style. If the headphones work and you can stick it out you'll get used to them, you might even hear things you never heard before.
I found what looks like a nice pair of Skullcandy on sale from Ebay, $13 and free shipping, so I grabbed them. I figure, that's what they
do so they gotta be decent, and my brother seems pleased with his so far as he's ever pleased with anything, so I'm hopeful. They're also blue. I
like blue.
I've been planning for ages to make a doll bag to hold one 1/4 doll and then it occured to me that a pant leg is about the right size and shape, and I have several pairs of wrecked pants from various unfortunate occurances that usually ended with me bleeding from somewhere or other, so I took one and chopped it up and added some hardware and I almost have a doll bag! I still need to do the straps and padding and put in the lining but the exterior is basically done and it's all held together properly and zips up. I'm very proud of that last part. Took me all freaking day to sew the entire thing in by hand. Backstitching all the way around with black thread on black fabric in poor light. Drove me insane.
