I know the struggle of finding the right male doll body, if this one didn't have to be taller than that one, he has to be thin, he has to have some chunk, he has to have a tummy for crop tops, he has to have the right neck for the head. Alex has double shoulders where there are quite a few with just single ones.

And I get keeping some of the older Barbies, especially some TnT ones. A few of my gals have refused the upgrade because that's just who they are.

Yeah, the Hula Hair girls just fit so well on the old bodies I can't stand to swap them (the one of them does need a new body as her arm has broken). Plus, their bikinis don't fit the new bodies like they do the old ones, and since they basically stay in this bikini when they're not in storage, I need them to fit.

I bought a VERY dirty lot of Barbies off eBay specifically to yoink the body from the Hula Hair Teresa that was in the lot. There was a My Room Generation Girl Tori that sadly has a mangled hand, but once I got the dirt and food crumbs out of her hair and got her face scrubbed, her head is actually in amazing shape. She's getting a Made to Move body tonight when I get home and joining the ranks of the doll horde.

I can't really complain about the dirt when I got like seven dolls for $5.99.

The make-up table, "pillows", and a couple other small things are missing from the house but otherwise the rest of it is there down to the original red hangers. A couple of vintage 60s Barbie and Ken pieces made up for it. If it had come down thru the family it would have been like this if not worse if my little sister had gotten a hold of it.

Not bad for only paying $$ and yes, it's the same shop I got the Volks MDD from.

The DH just had a new knee put in and is stuck in his recliner for now, so he told me to go buy myself a doll for Valentine's Day when I went out to get some groceries this morning. Found this surprise and brought it home.

I gotta be honest with you guys, I have like 8 Magic Mixies Pixlings now. They don't have great articulation, but they're so pretty and fun to look at...

If we don't count "birthday stash requests": some rare, out-of-print Red Heart variegated yarn came in yesterday ("Grape Ivy"). I'd been trying to track some down for ages, as there aren't any decent substitutes that I know of, and eventually a listing came up on eBay.

Currently trying to figure out who else among my OCs should get it besides the one I currently have lined up (Nahid, who's themed around grapes).

This rockstar Ken doll was on sale (and still is) from Amazon, so I snatched one. The plastic is cracked, but I plan to debox him anyway. I bought him for that GLORIOUS coat.

The coat is REALLY nice. The faux fur is SO soft, and it isn't shedding too bad. (Shailoh says he looks better in this coat than Ken did anyway.)

Update: Okay, I'm seriously loving this coat. Honestly, if you get it on sale, it's worth the $33 just for the coat. It's SO soft.
