Welp, the fairy costumes in this form are a bust. The tutus I got for them to wear underneath stick out way too far. Can't wear the wings with them.

Tried the dress and the wings without the tutu, and it just looks frumpy and sad.

Back to the drawing board.

Tutus aren't too hard to make. Or remake.
I am Tam. Tam I am. I like green eggs, but I don't like ham. :D

I tried linking one of my adopted click pets here, but the board wouldn't let me. :/

Try princess seams for the bodice and make it a bit longer than you want it, at least to the hips. Then pin the skirt in place while she's wearing the top it so it will sit where you want it.

Just went thru some tailoring with my tiny lady.

Fitted bodices are a NIGHTMARE on doll bodies, especially modern ones. The bodies are so heavily stylized that they need some pretty extreme curves on the seams to make them fit. (Source: Experience from drafting patterns for the Integrity girls. @-@)

The Semptress (sp?) method of wrapping a doll's body in aluminum foil or plastic wrap and then tape then cutting it apart to lay flat is always helpful. I did a tape mummy of my Obitsu 60 to help work on a cloth version of his body.

Looking at the way the bodice sits there's too much room in the center front, take it in with pins then mark on the pattern where you want the new center front to be.

Someone's finished, or as finished as she's going to be for now.

Your rag doll looks amazing so far, Dollykim!

I made some progress today. Since the fairy outfits weren't coming out the way I wanted, I decided to make them little witch costumes instead. Since black fabric stains Rainbow High dolls really bad, I went with brown as Sunny's contrasting color. I'm gonna make them little hats and little striped stockings too! If I can stay focused long enough to do it. But I really feel good about what I got done today!

Squeaked in at the last minute! I finished Sunny's hat earlier today. The outfits aren't everything I wanted, but I did get sidetracked halfway through the month, so I'm gonna call this one a win! Happy Halloween everyone!
