I couldn't think where to put them all! That's why I opted to get wigs for my Liv dolls and have them double as Jem and the Holograms. Fortunately they'll work if I feel the need for Miraculous Ladybug too. The couple of ML dolls out are pretty good but it wouldn't satisfy us, this is a license that if taken advantage of would produce some nice dolls.

The way the ML movie works is you can watch it if you haven't seen the show but if you do get in to the series it doesn't quite go like that and you'll be in for many pleasant story expanding surprises. If you've seen the show the movie will play out more like what-if fan fiction exploring if some different choices were made.

Ordered the body I hope to use for Sailor Moon. It'll be here . . . Eventually.

Oh, I also went through the loose heads I have and marked hairlines and parts on the scalps for each character and then put them in labeled baggies, so I can save a little time when I root them.

Usagi's hair is coming along.

I'm not going to do many plugs besides the hairline. I don't want her hair to be super thick. I've learned in the past that keeping high pigtails in on densely rooted heads can be a pain.

Nice work!!! Yes, you're so right!! Pigtails like hers need thin hair to be accurate!!!

Great job! :) Looking good!!

Thanks! I know I also shouldn't use a lot of hair if I'm going to try to make those iconic buns. (I actually found a "tutorial" that shows how they're apparently supposed to be done.)

I'd make the buns separate pieces, glue some hair to styrofoam beads or put on some air dry clay textured to look like hair, attach them with hair clips of some sort.

I remember I had decent success with the Irwin Sailor Moon doll as far as styling her hair, so I'm going to give it a shot.

Quick project I made in about 10-20 minutes.

Image

Poster board and some peel and stick wallpaper sheets from Dollar Tree. Cost me around $6 in supplies and a lot less time than my popsicle stick floor.

Reneeah's over here looking like she just spent hours laying flooring . . . Or she just wants to show off her new tall Made to Move body.
