After a long and painful block, I am crocheting again. I got half of an elephant rag doll's body finished today.
I am Tam. Tam I am. I like green eggs, but I don't like ham. :D

I tried linking one of my adopted click pets here, but the board wouldn't let me. :/

I decided to FINALLY go through all my "desperate housewife" magazines and pull/clip out all the recipes and put them in a notebook.

I am officially out of sheet protectors. There are still hundreds of pages. There are still more magazines to go through. Please send help, or at the very least fresh rations.

Curate carefully. I have a huge file that spans probably 40 years and will never make most of them. But they sounded good.

As for my in-progress Queen Charlotte cosplay for my new Barbie Looks...I think along with losing a lot of manual dexterity at this age, I must have also lost my mind to even attempt to do this! Argh! I forgot how teensy some of these parts are and it's a real pain to fix rather than start from scratch. However, the sleeves on the dress I bought are so wrong, I just couldn't leave them. As it is the skirt silhouette won't be right either, but I'm leaving that to artistic license. Send good crafty vibes in this direction, far North, please!

I'm something of a recipe hoarder, but in my defense, while I don't do much cooking, I do enjoy writing, and one of my favorite things to use to set the mood is include food in a scene. It can tell a lot about the region, or even just be a symbol of the characters finally gaining a moment's respite with a hot meal. I pull a lot of ideas for what they eat from my hoard.

Robe a la Francaise and Robe l'anglaise patterns are out there. I made a basic one for a doll commission once and I did the bodice and overskirt like a coat, attached one side of the stomacher, and left the other open to be fastened.

Somewhere in my digital hoard I saved a web page that said one of the most noticeable changes was the shape changing from wide to more round, or the other way around.

I have a pattern for one that I made for my first Ellowyne but it's way too large for Barbie. It was also a pain to sew LOL! At any rate, I'm happy with the finished project.

Since I'm waiting for another Barbie to cosplay, I'm going to make a pleated skirt for one of my smarties. I saw online a pic of a pleated skirt using a rainbow plaid that was so cute! When I saw the actual fabric at Joann's, I grabbed a yard and I think it's time to use it.

Just spent WAY too long prying decade old putty out of the eye sockets of one of my BJDs. They've been in storage for around 7 years, so they were due for some air. I'm planning on drafting some patterns for them next.

Anybody happen to have any patterns for the Soom Idealian male body or Iplehouse S.I.D. 65cm male body by any chance? Because Nova currently has the only pair of shorts I have that will fit these boys, and Alex is basically wearing a pink skirt that's just a scrap of fabric I pinned around his hips for modesty reasons.

It feels so good to be sewing again! My last sewing projects were really hard and tiresome, but Monday I got new glasses, and it's so much easier to see the tiny projects I'm doing now! No headache or eye strain! Woooo! Will post pics when I'm done.

No patterns for a 65, my big boys are 70, but I do have a book on how to draft patterns.

Now that I've gotten used to my new glasses, I've had a wonderful time sewing for my dolls again. Clawdeen has a whole new outfit and I'm working out the last parts for Ghoulia. Since I'm reusing Ghoulia's signature shirt for her summer look, maybe I'll make some arm warmers or something, something to make the outfit a bit more interesting. Or some elbow and knee pads, since she's a skateboarder now.
