Managed to find a pretty rare Living Doll Fashions pattern by Janice Rose Rader for male dolls. Her patterns are already a little hard to come by, but she did very few for Ken/male fashion dolls. Cost me almost $40 after taxes and shipping, but I'm so glad to get my hands on it.

I also found a second crochet booklet in my collection called Glamour Gowns by Susan Leishman (also from 1983), but the photos are credited to Gene Rader who is the credited photographer in Janice Rose Rader's booklets and pamphlets, so I'm curious what the connection is.

If it's Fairy Tale Couples I have it, a ken is wearing a light blue tunic and tights, Barbie is wearing a big pink gown.

That's one of the ones I'm keeping my eye out for. It comes up for sale once in a while.

I can't find any actual publishing information anywhere on the booklets. I'm wondering if perhaps Gene is/was Janice's husband/relative, since they share a last name.

So I managed to get my hands on something cool!



It has information on all of Janice Rose Rader's patterns up until around 1985, by my estimation, and it solves the mystery of who Susan Leishman is. Susan is Janice's sister! Which makes me almost certain Gene Rader was probably Janice's husband.

I'm so glad to get my hands on this because it has a lot of information I needed for my spreadsheet.
