When we purged a lot of stuffed animals and soft toys we found a law enforcement program where officers give them to children they deal with who are in serious situations.

Due to Covid, my local charities are not accepting out-of-box toys right now, but I did check.

Someone here print 3D heads in 1/6 scale please. All the Peter Parkers I like are either too small or on the other side of the planet.

I've decided it's time to actually catalogue my custom/character dolls, meaning: What head do they have, the name of the head mold/sculpt, what body they're on, what hair color they've been rerooted with (if any), and any other mods/changes like eye color or hand swaps. God help me finding the emails with the receipts and info.

Hey, that was my idea! That's why I got newspaper rain bags to fit individual 1/6 scale in and looked thru my old website notes and I was going to buy some black velvet for artistic pictures and... lol!

With one of your pictures of each doll include a small sign with the info on it. If you're doing several shots at a time, like different angles, have a check list. Better to have duplicate shots than miss some. Have everyone dressed and ready to go the day before. Lay the dolls out on a table or a bed so it's easy to pick up the next subject and you don't lose track. And pace yourself.

I used to do all the work for a body comparison website and photo updates could take up to a week.

Right now I'm just working on getting all of their information written down in a notebook. Eventually, though, I plan to make a thread that has a picture of each with their information.

Guess who started painting before checking to see if the paint had gone bad in storage over the summer? Had to get a thin coat of gesso on them anyway.

I might be crazy but I'm not paint a half Venom head in 6" scale crazy.

*Edited to put in a better pic of Venom

Been drafting patterns for my 23cm girl over the last couple days. In between working myself to death. @-@

Welcome back to everyone's favorite game show- will that paint stick?
Round one with thin layers of the same kind of paint I've always used allowed to dry overnight sticking to the places with texture but when it comes to the forehead the new layer takes all the old ones off!
Round two let's try a thin layer of chalk* finish.
Bonus round might be a thin layer of model paint as a base for other stuff.

You might have to try dabbing on a thin layer of a matte varnish like Liquitex to make some of them stick. I've seen that issue before.

Thanks, I'll try that next if the chalk finish doesn't work.

*The chalk finish is working so far.
