Half mountain half flammable half flood, road to Vegas which remembers us slightly flammable gets more weather but the place we just left was meth lab surrounded by dry brush foothills and illegal fireworks.
The Texas area is Johnson county I think outside Fort Worth but needs major money for a rental truck or someone who could tow a trailer more reasonable

Of the two perspective California places the on we’d prefer just had or is still having a nearby scrub fire, it’s considered ‘high desert’ in this region, had a major fire in the area a few years ago. But the place is a bit more residential and like with earthquakes there has to be a certain level of preventative stuff to be up to code
Texas we have no idea except plans are for me to share and if it’s under a certain amount I can pay out of pocket. Last place was half my income just for rent, all my cousin wants is so much less.

Evergreen trees is not only the area of the one place but a reference to the name without saying it exactly

Oh man. Johnson County Texas is pretty. It has green. Have you thought of making a gofundme page?

Have you considered shipping your stuff instead? You'd need to know the weight, but you'd save a lot of money if you got a shipping container and packed it yourself.

I can’t personally do a fundraiser because it would be counted towards my income. As for shipping everything is in a storage unit, no shipping containers etc allowed. Also it’s half books. And when we started all the moving containers were sold out.
If we are coming back to California, the high desert owner has been in contact with us since we started looking but couldn’t do us before July 1, it’s fine. If we’re staying in Texas it might be cheaper to buy a used truck and tow a trailer.
My things are tidy in one part of the unit, easy to reach.
We should know in like a week if it’s back here for the first or what.

Depending on where in Texas, you might consider travel by rail with your stuff going rail freight. It's going to take some research on your part but Amtrak has passenger lines going from Los Angeles to Texas to San Antonio, then on to Houston, with a second line going up from San Antonio through Fort Worth all the way to Oklahoma City.

I wish I could because the room on the train has some good prices.
As for the stuff short answer is the storage place has stupid rules about who and what can come on the lot because California.
Meanwhile we made it to Gallup in a car that was thought not to make it up a hill near home. First half of Arizona was greener than the California mountains. This part of New Mexico is lovely and really looks like how people think the southwest looks.

Not that you'd be taking a train ride for a leisurely vacation, but I've always wanted to. It seems like such a lovely way to see the country. (I have pretty severe motion sickness though so either I'd be too drugged up to stay awake or, well... that's not an option and that's why I've never taken a train ride.)

Keep updating us!

Right now the biggest gift would be getting my doesn’t believe she’s a hallucinating schizophrenic sister to shut up. It’s been non stop violent adult content the entire month but especially at the top of her lungs in the car.
