New member looking for freedom of loving all dolls :)

Hey there!
Swedish girl of 28 years, love dolls ofc!
I have crept into this hobby for some time, taking it slow. I love articulated dolls, that said, i do not love resin. Yeah I know I am an abonination according to den of Angels i suppose.
I love vinyl and plastic because resin is resin. It's expensive, stains easy and can be so fragile. Don't get me wrong, the resin BJD's are absoultely gorgeous! But I want to hold my doll, play with her, keep her out for the world to see etc. So I have been more into Obitsu, monster high (although not to happy about their fragile joints), Pullip, Tonner and now Hujoo. I didn't know they existed until recently because they are not common in Europe.
I love to do faceups and give dolls good hair. I am so picky about not seeing the scalp that it's a pain :P
Well nice to meet you!
Love you all for being brave to be who you are and stand for it!

Welcome!

A note of caution - the vinyl on Obitsus can stain, apparently. I also wouldn't let it worry you unduly! (And I should probably check one of mine as he's been sat in dark trousers for a few months now...)

Welcome to the board!

Afraid I have to agree about the Obitsu staining. It happens way more easily on soft vinyl than it does on resin, and unlike with resin, it's a lot more difficult to wash off again. I take care of most resin stains with a light scrub from a magic eraser, but that doesn't work so well on the soft vinyl. Seems to require specialized cleaner to come out.

That being said, Obitsu are awesome and definitely have their charms. Super-posable and way lighter than resin! I just take care to dress my Obitsu (and Dollfie Dream) in light-colored clothes that don't stain easily and they're good to go!

Welcome to the board.

Vinyl is fun and stuff, but they are prone to breaking and staining too. Resin takes some getting used to and some amount of care. Took me some time before wading(small Obitsu - Big Obitsu - Oversize resin dude who thinks he's an action figure) into the resin side of things
