I finally got out to this little hole-in-the-wall po-boy place that also makes Vietnamese food and had an absolutely wonderful bowl of pho ga. It's probably been 6 years at least since the last time I had any.

We do have a couple of good Thai places here in town but I've really missed Vietnamese food since I left New Orleans.

I posted this on the JS "rejoice", and finally have a moment to X-it over here.

Tibbiez can haz http://www.wacom.com/cintiq/cintiq-21ux.php!!!
I am over the moon, I have dreamed of a Cintiq since I first heard of/saw them. And this particular model is supposed to be *amazing*, I can't wait to see how it performs with Painter, with its incredible tilt/bearing/pressure sensitivity, much higher than my Intuos tablet, which is fairly awesome in its own right.

It will ship in 1-2weeks, and take the usual month or so to get to the frozen wastelands...

My Qian should be delivered today. I hope it gets her soon. I could use a pick-me-up.

Yays! Nothing like a new doll!

I have ideas for 3 pattern books now, 1 I want to rush for the monsters, 1 I want soon for the minis, and 1 for regular sized girls that needs a bit more design work.

Qian arrived. I took plenty of photos, but haven't uploaded yet so I don't know how they look. I'll do it sometime this weekend, when I feel up to it.

We were on quite the austerity budget for a good long time, including over my birthday. I sort of got nothing. Larry was trying to make resin wings for me, and unfortunately, the engineering never worked out.

So today I showed this to mu hubby.

This is the BIG 'bot doll I really wanted for Waitron. I love my Machina but she is Minifee size.

"Oh good" says he, "Just what I wanted to see! Now I can make it up to you for no birthday."

I love my hubby.

I'm getting her in gray and she is all ordered.
All you damn kids get offa my lawn!

Wow, that is awesome! I'd love to see her with a proper paint job done on the body - cause the default paint job in the photos really does not live up to the potential of that sculpt!

Now you'll have a mainframe and laptop/netbook/tablet version. I can't wait to see it done up wonderfully either.

I have 2 new dolls swimming in my mind, a Wilder Willy Wonka head, he'll always be Willy Wonka, and now I'm wondering about turning a headless body in to a Little Stig to test drive doll vehicles. Having seen the Stig Farm I'm getting ideas.
