Most of us love Anime culture. This song will put you in a trance, and keep you listening to it over and over. Its hauntingly beautiful. Ball jointed doll by vocaloid software. Beware... http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=h5XyPcp9jVQ

@Calivano That is really haunting! Beautiful, but like you said.. haunting.

Okay, so I am not sure if I either surprised or embarrassed by liking this song, but ... I don't know, I feel like it fits this topic. It's Cartoon Heroes by Aqua. I wish I had decent video editing software, actually, I can see the formation of a fan-vid in my head when I listen to this song.

MeltedCaramel - love both those covers! Listened to the Tony Lucca one twice - once with the gif lol

Caliavano- Hah, Volcaloids have been getting a lot of play recently on my playlist so I can definitely appreciate this!

werepuppy-Now I am super interested in what you would do for an MV for this song! I like it too. :) It's definitely not "conventional", but that's why it's neat! ;)

ShortNCuddlyAm- Pfffft haha, that gif thing never ceases to make me giggle. It was so unintentional how I found it but once I realized that it fit I just had a good laugh! Isn't the Tony Lucca song amazing (even without the gif) though? I just love how he isn't afraid to belt it out with that same "feminine" sensuality that Britney did. It makes the song sound uniquely androgynous yet powerful. That was without a doubt my favourite song that season on The Voice. :D

Hmnnn, the most recent "WTF" song on my playlist definitely has to be "Shut Up And Sleep With Me" By Sin With Sebastian
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yjZ696SPqx4&feature=kp . The video is so camp it's just amazing, and the song literally has like one refrain to it, but I kind of adore it!  I don't know whether to be embarrassed or have a real good chuckle at myself!! Maybe a bit of both! ;)

@MC I think it would have X-Men, Justice League, Avengers and ... probably the Sailor Scouts. I have SO many ideas for that MV, but I do not have a decent video editing program, or even good footage of the above teams.

Another song that is a sort of surprise/embarrassing one is I Can Fly from Jake and the Never Land Pirates. How do I know this? Every time I've been in a Disney Store lately, it's been playing, and it's sort of grown on me. I like how happy Peter sounds.

Surprised by... um, Alexi Murdoch - his particular brand of melancholy slow music normally comes across as a bit forced to my ears (they're more accustomed to rock) but despite my usual tastes I really really like it... Especially this song:

It's strangely uplifting.

I suppose the one artist I am actually embarassed to admit a liking for is ...James Blunt - his name is infamously cockney rhyming slang for... Well google it if you're curious! But Blunt was inescapably part of my early teen years I still quite like the music even though I really don't know why!

And yeah that's even after this parody which is better than the original:

I loved Dead Ringers! And I've just spotted they're back on the radio end of the month (Wed 30 July, 18:30) :)

Rixton- Me and My Broken Heart...ADDICTED TO THIS. lol, ugh. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7JJfJgyHYwU

also, surprised but i'm totally digging that song Latching Onto You by Disclosure and Sam Smith. Adore Sam Smith right now and Ed Sheeran...I love getting into new music!

oh! and someone on the first page mentioned it being odd to rather be interested in your parents music taste. I have to agree, I'm the same way, love Journey, Bowie, Queen, Michael, and more! Just embrace it! ;)

Haha, I am so happy this thread is getting so much use! Sometimes the stuff we're "embarrassed" by is some of the stuff we love the most. It's nothing to be ashamed of but instead celebrated!

Right now my guilty pleasure has to be Blondie's remix of "In The Flesh" (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lA_5E3kxU84). It sounds like something that should be played in a porno movie (but then again...I kinda like some porno music, stop judging! ), but it's just got such a neat vibe to it.

Plus it's a dirty song, gotta love me some dirty music.

Another raunch-fest I'm a little embarrassed to crank up around company?

Elle King's incredible cover of Khia's infamous song "My Neck, My Back". Somehow Elle manages to turn this song full of sexually explicit lyrics into something you can relax and listen to:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VZgg9SIWfI0 (Yeah, real big warning for language here, no matter how sweetly Elle may be singing said words! ;) )
