i wonder if you did layers of stencils with acrylic paint if you could get the embroidery look without having to kill your shoulder. maybe with a small narrow sponge so it looks thready? :/

I'd second layers of paint and stencils, I remember hearing about "liquid embroidery" paint. What would the Disney Store do on a higher end doll?

Embroidery, by hand or machine, is skill and knowledge based. You start basic and build up as you go. Definitely not the best thing on a bum arm.

I can't wait to see your Elsa cosplay Setsuna!

I finally got the hang of using size 40 Lizbeth thread.

I have a lot of projects in the queue. The only thing I've put any effort into is a doll I'm slowly adding tattoos to. It's been fun! He'll eventually have a full set of sleeves and a lot of work on the chest and back, as well.

My latest attempt at a doll goes slowly but well.

Wow! Thanks for the advice, you two! I appreciate it! I didn't even consider that option but I'll definitely look into now! I never even heard of embroidery paint! Thank you both again!

PS Kim-san, your doll is looking good!!!

Thanks, Richila-san!!! I'm excited about making it, but this year it's proving a little difficult to squeeze our costumes in between our commissions due to my shoulder injury. ^^;; Leaves little to no time at all! But somehow, we'll get them in! Even if it's on Halloween week itself that we finish them!
Your dollie dress is sooooooooooooooo cute! That doll is soooo tiny yet your work is so fine and delicate! Great work!

Thanks Setsuna! I am working on dress 2, but it is slow. It usually takes making 5 of the same thing before I get better and faster at it.

Dress 2 finally clicked in my brain.

I am probably insane, but I have finally figured out how to make a Capt. America cosplay for Richi. I was working on her newest dress in Lizbeth Angels love and it dawned on me that it would make the red and white stripes.

I will use blue silk thread to make the bodice and skirt.

This is what I am making. She already has a shield and motorcycle.
