What are you reading? Books, manga, comics...

The place for those OT discussions that you just HAVE to share in a doll themed forum.

I'm reading Stardust by Neil Gaiman at the moment-it's a nice little nibble of a book :)
My husband also brought of the manga, Children of the Sea, tonight so I'll probably dive into that before bed.

I am in middle of Jean Auel's Mammoth Hunters -book, and also reading two mangas: Chobits and Rose of Versailles. Sadly, I have only three first books of Chobits, so I have to try and find the rest of them.

I've been reading a lot of fan fiction lately...

As for books, I've just started re-reading Kushiel's Chosen. (2nd book in the Kushiel's Legacy series by Jacqueline Carey)

Quite a few of my dolls are book or manga characters.
I have so many dolls that I can't fit all their names in my signature anymore. @__@

I'm currently struggling with Dune's sixth and last book, and I hope to finish reading it soon. Dune's concept is awesome, but the last three books reveled to be a quite hard reading for me, even if stimulating.
I still have to finish the Three Kingdom Romance, but next I'll probably read some Terry Pratchett book I've previously missed to have some relief from demanding readings ^_^'

I did uncover a ginormous comic book collection in my basement. It would actually be fun to flip through a few of them.

I only count the ones I read completely, not the ones I leave part way thru if I'm bored with them. This year I'm trying to concentrate on fantasy/sf written by women and/or POC (persons of color). Right now I'm on the 3rd book of a series by Sarah Prineas. It's a juvenile and I read a lot of YA too. Just finished Martha Wells 'Fall of Ile-Rien' series. Next up is a Jennifer Roberson called "The Wild Road."

Have to mention Shelley Adina's 'Devices' series. Steampunk adventure starring a woman who doesn't need to be rescued by a man. It's awesome. I hope she writes more. My set is on ebook, but she's now offering them in print.

Not going to mention number of fanfics read/reading. *looks innocent*

Thank you for the Adina recommendation-I love Steampunk. Have you read Disenchantment Inc. by Lynn Viehl?

Stardust is one of my favorites.

Only in an Ebook world could I be carrying around both Louisa May Alcott's and Jane Austen's complete works and trying to decide what to read next.

I have some Jane Austin on my Kindle, yay Project Gutenberg, but haven't got started on her yet. It's one of those I've been meaning to. I've been curious about Dune too. Free ebooks got me to read all of Gulliver's Travels and at least put a bunch of other "classics" on my list. Haven't read any Neil Gaiman yet but he seems interesting too.

I started Dracula, got as far as just as the guy arrives at the castle but couldn't go on from there.

I just recently finished all The Green Hornet Better Little Books. Next for me is John Carter of Mars BLBs and maybe the Flash Gordon ones too.

My mom is reading the Anne of Green Gable series. We've started reading the Wizard of Oz series together.
I'm mostly on Tumblr now.

The Angel of Death....I'm almost finished with it and I hate it. Tips to anyone wanting to write a forensic mystery PLEASE don't mix fluff with guts. I felt sick after the main character described to the reader how she was feeling guilty for being alive and cuddling with her boyfriend while the murder victim was...Ugh being embalmed and describing just WHAT went into it...Blergh..

I love the Wizard of Oz Books. We are collecting the hardback Library Binding copies. Are you reading them aloud? The language is so much fun.
