I won't try and convert you to all things Kuroko then, even though it's awesome in many ways and is a well written story about friendship. Maybe that's why I like it so much. My novel's theme is friendship. I do like those kinds of stories. :-p

I find myself wanting a million fanthings too. I suppose I'll just have to add more shelves to my doll room. Booyah!

I think I need to make an offering to the local land spirits to protect my garden. should a dish of salt and a dish of milk do the trick?

Trethowan....Yeah, I'm probably going to end up converted against my will anyway. Just got an email from my friend noting how one character is conspicuously wearing the exact same shirt that another character shopped for in an earlier episode. What can I say? I'm a wicked yaoi fangirl and my friends are too, despite us all being too old to be called fangirls anymore. ;)

knittnkitten I hear land spirits like dem some hard liquor. Try some Wild Turkey to appease the gods!

You may need one of these:

They are alleged to be most effective if you make it yourself.

Salt is a barrier... unless you want to keep them out I wouldn't go for that. Milk, honey, liqueur; all are traditional offerings as are hanging pretty things around the area... they like pretties. ^___^

ARGH!! :x Help! How the hell do you get image codes from flickr now??? Every version of the embed/html/share links that pop up don't seem to actually work... :?

(Edit: Oh FFS - I worked it out then Flickr goes and breaks on me :x ARGH!!! DISPROPORTIONATE RAGE!!)

MeltedCaramel:Yea 3D printed stuff can be spectacular - if it's good enough for medical implants it's certainly good enough for dolliehs!

Vincent/shiny? Huh? Not sure I get what you mean there?

Um figure-wise I avoided Version I Vincent like the plague - cos he was shockingly bad... Version II Vincent is as perfect a representation of the video-game version of the character in action figure form as I've ever seen! (Except for poseability - he has the joints - but anything other than his signature pose is ...risky ) I adore him - I think he could be my favourite piece from that line full-stop. Version III Vincent - still 50/50 over whether or not I should pick him up - he certainly looks far better than version one... But he looks like his cloak caught fire! It's supposed to be Red! Red! Not so "weathered" it's gone brown!

Hah! Thanks! I think the Figmas are more slim in no. through neglect more than any degree of restraint on my part! They're very happy on their shelf with the other smaller than 1/6 things... Though damn I am jealous that you've gotten hold of Strength! (Hah yea I kinda wish I'd managed to pick up more of the Fate/Night guys - but egads the Shirou figure was ...odd! (Ugh yea Shana is my big regret from that line! Dat hair!)

I wouldn't say less detailed, more Not-At-All-Like-The-Actor... It's odd - instead of giving Loki slim shoulders/a narrower body - which was the only realy flaw in the 1st figure - they've made the head Bigger - to try to make his body look smaller... So the whole figure just looks skewiff...

Thanks! (Drax is preening) The cybernetic thing probably happened because of my obsession with the world building aspects and the looks in Shadowrun/Blade Runner/The Fifth Element when Elrana's character was developed. Much as she doesn't look it she was the 1st character to develop - and was intended to be front and centre plot-wise... But then Drax and Jerome butted in! Yeah I mostly do all my own face-ups (as you can probably tell by how shocking some of them are!) I just love the customisation aspect of BJDs - I couldn't imagine not painting them myself, I find it helps bring out the character I'm trying to make nine times out of ten! (So even though DemonBoy's company face-up is absolutely lovely - I do find myself wondering what he'd look like with a new one...)
Crazy Mulitverse Crew: Drax, Jareth, Jerome, Elrana Milenkova, The Thin White Duke, Vasily Lupandin, Ramin Aiphos, Theta Sigma, Aiko Koyame, Lord Havelock Vetinari, Dr Nicholas Rush, Anon., Nyta Kinall, Otto Kreiner, That Demon, Sasu, Yaya, Ombre
...reshelling Szesil Markowski and Garan Idasson

Spirit houses don't have to be any particular size.

It is good if it can be placed in front of a tree
It should not be on the left side of a door
If there's a Buddha room in the building, the spirit house should be in line with it
It should not face a toilet or a road
It's lucky if it points north or northeast
It should not be in the shadow of the house

Here's a little one that shouldn't be too hard to copy on Amazon:

http://www.amazon.com/EXP-Hand-carved-Spirit-Sculpture-Thailand/dp/B001H3983Y

I suspect you could modify a birdhouse kit easily enough.

Hrrmm...I wonder how much it costs to work with public 3D printing companies since the software and hardware is pretty damn expensive. Making a BJD out of it sounds incredible and something I would adore doing. I'm extremely fond of body types like DollPamm/Enaibi/CeriseDolls with the anime style and gorgeously pear shaped bodies, they all remind me of the artists I watched while growing up. I would love to make a run of dolls in the same vein. :D

Vincent being shiny, I've read reviews for him that claim he's extremely shiny in a "cheap plastic" sort of way. I take it that this isn't the case with yours? ;) I noticed the weird brown tattered look on the newer Vincent figure too, I thought that was rather strange. :?

Heh, I wish I could "neglect" more action figures! Although with Strength...I got her and her head literally snapped off a minute out of the box. I'm the latest in a long list of complainers about this figma. She's ridiculously delicate. I'm just thankful that she's being used for a custom and while it's annoying, the one snapped joint didn't ruin the figure since I plan on using her for parts anyway. Shirou is a really strange looking figma, but I wish he wasn't so rare since he would be perfect for a friend who wants an L Death Note custom.

Yeah, I was trying to be charitable about the Loki figure but wow, he's pretty much just not worth it unless you find the first wave.

...THE FIFTH ELEMENT. One of my favourite movies ever. (Yup, pretty much anything by Luc Besson gets heavy rotation from me.) No wonder I like your collection so much with that as an inspiration! :D I love all of your faceups Vetinari! I think they're wonderful and I really love the extensive piercings on the one, and just...all their personalities are really noticeable and I adore when that's the case. As stunning as some of the company (and OOAK) faceups are, I love it best when I can look at a design and tell immediately that it's a colourful character versus a generic pretty boy or beautiful girl. I love how much obvious thought has gone into your collection. <33
