I'm still 1.5 weeks out so I should be fine but if all else fails and we can't get off the ridge, there is a soccer field about 2 blocks from my house. If I have to, I'll walk out to the field and demand an air lift to the hospital.

it has been.. shockingly popular for a non-fanart comic.

I think if someone tells me my ex-cyberbully/stalker wants to talk to me again I'm just gonna send them that little gem up there and ask them if it looks like I give a crap.

Well, considering a metro Atlanta cop had to help deliver a baby yesterday, that's not necessarily an unlikelihood!

I hope everyone in the snowy South can stay home and stay safe! I think it may be time for some states to purchase better snow-removal equipment and maybe make studded tires legal/available. After two weeks of warm weather, we finally have it a bit cooler up here in Alaska and some snow In our forecast in the next week. It's left everything iced over and slippery, but I have my cleats on my boots and I'd rather deal with ice rather than slush for now.
Just because you CAN doesn't mean you SHOULD.

I don't know that our roads could handle snow chains and the like with only 3 inches. Besides, down here it isn't the snow itself that really causes the problems, but the ice. We live in one of the rural counties around metro Atlanta and don't even have as much as a snow plow. (Heck, we don't even have our own driver's license office - we have to go to a neighboring county.)
