Cashmere hat and shawl - Myri was cold by richila9098, on Flickr

I finished some Micro clothing and a wig; Myri got jealous and demanded a hat and shawl.

I've got to get back to crocheting gage swatches. I need to find a hook that gives me 13 chains per inch with a size 20 thread to try an experiment.

Meanwhile I have a Junky Spot swap gift to make but I can't say what it is or who its for.

What sizes have you used? I have down to 14 and size 20 thread.

I want to use 20 because I have a sizable stash, I already have a pattern for size 10 and however I mathed 13 chains/stitches wide per inch was the number I needed in 20 to see if my resizing idea would work.

It's just a matter of working down with the steel hooks. I have an interchangeable head set that goes down to 14 so I have everything I need. Mostly I have 1 or 2 spools in different sizes to do gage swatches for dolls, eventually I'll be down to 80 just to see what it will look like. I also have tatting shuttles and lace bobbins that I'm trying to work with. I have to tat with 2 threads in different colors to make sure I get the thread to "flip" and work properly but at least I'm doing it :)

*A size 10 hook with 20 thread gives me the gage I'm looking for to try my project. Basically the pattern calls for size 10 thread and a size 7 hook with 26 single crochet stitches the width of a waistband for an outfit. To resize it for a Monster I measured their waist, roughly 2 inches, so that meant I needed a gage of 13 stitches per inch. Now to do the work and see what happens...

Beginning to pencil out the cyborg designs on Anon.s body - Um having difficulty keeping to the anime/manga aesthetic - the pencil lines around the torso area especially are very Iron Man...

Making costumes and the patterns for them is my job... so I just made the pattern.
The easiest way I can say to do it.. is trace your doll's foot onto a piece of paper, cut that out. Go up into a piece of paper a bit and cut a hole a bit bigger than the circumstance of your doll's ankle then stick it on your doll's foot. Trace where it comes to the floor around your doll's foot. Then you can add whatever type of top you want as long as you measure the calf size and adjust it accordingly.

I was lookin at a book of folk costumes and decided OUAZ Belle needed some clothes fitting a zombified 19th century peasant girl. All I've made so far is a first attempt at a bodice. I should make a dress too - except the great thing about a bodice is it can turn anything into a dress!
