To talk about dolls again both 1/6 scale realistic proportion figures I've been trying to make might have to be scrapped. The white clay one leans too far forward. I'm working on a peach colored one but it's starting to look like it leans backwards. The solid construction of the design doesn't allow them to be taken apart and reset. The end result is supposed to be a 1 piece statue for reference.

Not so much of a suck but a bummer that I just can't seem to make my hands get what I see in my head. ~shakes fist at TBI~

Well, in the never ending fun of home ownership saga, looks like we might need either our (newish) A/C worked on or replace the (Jurassic era) thermostat. Right now we are sitting with a temp of 82° and have several windows open because it's cooler outside. My husband came home and discovered that the line is frozen so he turned off the A/C altogether - looks like open windows tonight, too. Greeaaatttt.

And to top that off, since it's probably going to take the better part of a day for the line to thaw and we may still need someone to come out and look at it (we have a contract with an A/C company thankfully), I'm going to have to cancel my background acting job. I'll be able to take my daughter and come back and pick her up each day, but they need people who can commit to all three days and now it looks like I can't..... sigh.

If the line is frozen you are probably low on coolant. Is the area where the heat exchanger and the filter frozen as well? If so, that is definitely the cause.

It's possible, Misty. We have a service and that's one of the things they handle so we've called them out for tomorrow. Cross fingers!

So ridiculously minor in comparison but god I need new shoes.

Horrible knees run in my family. I exercise to try and help but I'm on my feet all day in a classroom. I have flat feet, put all my weight on my heels no matter how I stand, and I get horrible pains, especially in my right big toe (feels arthritic but it is in the second knuckle, not the base). I can't sit at work; I was sitting for about two minutes checking a project for a student when I was observed and I was told not to do so. When I get home and relax then get up again to go to the kitchen or bathroom I can barely move. I really need something that supports my feet, because this pain is becoming overwhelming and it's only October. I know that partially it's because I need new shoes but I have no idea what to get. I've tried sneakers, Toms/Bobs, boots, heels, no heels, orthopads, nothing works.

Well, we were THREE POUNDS low on coolant so apparent there is a (hopefully) slow leak. Just to have the service company replace the coolant was pricey - I'm glad we didn't have to pay for the service charge. We had to put off having the leak looked for because now my car has the check engine light on  and Pep Boys said it's a coil or something in the transmission that needs replacing. And Joy has to be on set 55 miles away for the rest of the week... sigh.....

whelp first day of work. spent the morning crying in a craft cabneit because there was nothing really explaining what needed to be done this month, where anything was or what I was supposed to be doing, and I don't have a desk. there is NO spot for me to work at so I have to squat in the employee breakroom like an intern if I wanted to study the notebooks the previous coordinator left for me. so I demanded a laptop at least, because I have computer stuff to do for this job and its bullshit if I have to hop on a secretary's computer if I want to make a calender or find who to call to come in to do stuff. they were like "oh, you'd never be at a desk, you'll be running around all day." also bullshit because I have documentation of the activities I have to do and aforementioned calenders. no wonder they can't keep anyone in this position!!

Orthaheel.

I have plantar fasciitis and have not had a moment of pain since switching to Orthaheel shoes.

Don't buy them full price. On ebay you can find brand new ones, or ones that were tried on and returned, for half to a third of the price of new ones. I've bought 4 pair of the returned ones, and you can't tell them from new.

When you first try them you probably won't like them because there is no cushioning. You don't actually want cushioning, which can be part of the problem, not the solution. You want extremely firm support, and Orthaheel shoes give that.
