Has this happened to anyone else?

Overall, I've actually been listening closely to the Voices In My Head when shopping and planning for the "kids"... and so far, not many complaints (though Chloe can't make up her mind if she's blond or redheaded. And she only wants *one* color... ) I guess I just got carried away with how pretty the BBD boy is, and missed Quinn telling me it wasn't him (he's rather quiet, after all).

So, ok, no problem. Got Quinn straightened out, and still getting the BBD as another boy... who apparently will only talk to me when I am busy with 100 other things at the time. And then gets mad at me when I don't remember what he said.

My very first doll did that to me... pre-conceived character-wise, I had him all set to be all witty and scholarly/magey and then... instead, Hito ended up a rough, jealous, rebellious bandit type of fella... he was supposed to be a well learned werewolf scholar.... oh well... I've decided to just let him be as he is and see if the 'real' Hito appears in another doll in the future.

All my other dolls seem to fall into their characters easily... it was just that one doll that went off and did his own thing o_O

Sometimes.... they just wanna be who they wanna be o_O

Alice, who I really need to get pictures of, kind of did this to me. I was going to have her be a traditional Japanese miko, but her features didn't really look all that Japanese (she's a Haruka), and then she decided she preferred the blue wig I'd gotten. So now she's a ditzy robot maid, which works since she's also a floating head. I don't mind too much - she was willing to stick with stuff I'd already bought, and she's still a very stereotypical anime girl. With her blue hair and pink eyes, she actually looks a lot like Rei from NGE, who was all over posters in Japan, so she still works as a memento of my trip. Sure, Alice, is in no way a Japanese name, but there's a lot of Alice in Wonderland references in lolita stuff, and I think a couple anime characters named Alice, too.

Well everything is all messed up in my house now. I had my DD extra head (not the Miu that is still in transit) who I had bought red eyes and a blue wig and she was going to be my "KosMos". I even got a modern-ish version of her fashion.

I got a black wig and black eyes for my 'Counselor Troi' girl (neither of these were named yet, but I had the 'characters' in mind) and she is a Gretel head.

Well my body arrived today - the one that was supposed to be an obitsu and turned out to be a DD body. My blue wig isn'y here yet (arriving tomorrow...sitting at the local post office ). So the only head that was 'ready' is the DD head with red eyes. I had the black wig, so it all went together because it feels like I have been waiting for months to "play".

My problem now is that the combination works! The red eyes, black wig and regular street Japanese clothes...and now I have neither a KosMos, nor a Troi...but I have Michiko! She had a mind of her own.

I was testing out some wigs on my Nano-Gretal(makes me want to get a another one) for my upcoming young girl doll (bridging age for the rest of the team) and after trying one particular wig, a different character(younger than the bridge O_o') emerges and stole the entire head. She refuses to go away even though I was thinking of letting her officially happen a few more months down the road when I'm more comfortable with having young dolls in the team.

I need to get a few things done before this young lady debuts here, but right now my males are trying to get used to having this young miss hanging around them.

I was only expecting Mitzi to be parts for two projects. I wound up falling in love with her and she ended up Z's cousin and Yumiko's lifelong friend. (since 2nd grade)
