Just when I'm searching the couch cushions for change for the car, about 12 hours away from that, my headphones go out :/ The Monster High ones were comfortable while they lasted. I have ear buds but when I can spend again I'll need a new set of comfort phones.

I can't go in to BOSE territory yet so I'd appreciate advice on a general quality brand with good range. I listen to different kinds of music, watch a lot of DVDs, and I don't like my noise loud.

SkullCandy is pretty good. So is Sony. And they aren't too expensive (in comparison with brands like Bose and Beats Audio, anyway).

I actually use a microsoft headset; it's a usb set, though, so I don't know how helpful this will be for you. Other than the fact that the headband part isn't padded, the set is quite comfortable and it also cancels background noise pretty well. Plus, it seems to be pretty sturdy as I have been carrying it to school with me in my bookbag for the past two semesters and it's still in good shape.

I hate when things are suddenly delayed, while it's nice they're fixing the power steering in the car, which started the doom of our last one, I was all ready to get it Monday night. I had spiritually put doll making and all that aside so we could do car things. Or at least I would know how much I'd have to set aside for the car and how much I could have for doll money.

Didn't The Christmas Toy and Toy Story teach us all dolls and toys like to play with each other? Seriously, The Christmas Toy did it better.

I'm so glad the hay harvesting season appears to be over. Living behind a farm is hell on my sinuses sometimes - so bad that just going outside for a few moments to play with the dogs becomes impossible. I'm glad I decided against going to Dragon*Con this year, now - I was so sick on Friday I spent most of the day either huddled on the couch under a throw or in bed trying to sleep while breathing through my mouth. (Thankfully I have the world's most thoughtful husband - he not only attended a couple of panels that Misty sat on, he found a book of her's that I didn't have at the vendor for an autograph.)

I've lived in Florida and California, but I never had a single allergy before moving to Georgia.....

Kirah, I live in Illinois and have horrible issues with hay fever. If I go to Tennessee, Kentucky, Georgia, my hay fever disappears. I also never had any issues when I visited California for three months, either. Are you at a lower altitude or the higher altitudes? My husband is convinced since we stuck to the hills, that that was the reason.

Also remember that there are different plants (and different strains of the same plant) in different places, and I would guess that you're only allergic to a specific plant's pollen/dust.
