I think we should be using helical wind turbines instead of the typical pinwheel shape. Helixes are more efficient because they don't need motors to turn them into the wind. Also, they look really cool. :)

Keep your sewing pins in an Altoids tin and your needles in a Tiny Tin. They snap shut to prevent spills and you can stick a magnet to them. A regular sized tin can hold a travel sewing kit too.

I was invited to join a reality show about really short and really tall people (I'm a 6'3" tall girl). Granted, the TV company that does the show is a well respected company - I watch a lot of their shows - and it pays nicely, but still HELL NO!!!

I am an utter witch. I have injured my back and that has untreated for as long as my hip. The new doc keeps telling me to visit the er for everything. The er tells me it is not an emergency, see your doc. I went evil and told the nurse if she refused to get me an appt with ANY doc, I would then file complaints with the state medical board AND atty gen's office. I told her to shove the pharm questions as I can't see a DO without a referral. I also was able to get my albuterol inhaler refill, finally. I cannot wait until next year so I can be seen by a doctor who is NOT a state employee.

You are not a witch (or anything else that rhymes with it). You are a fed up patient who finally got some of what she needed handled. The fact that you had to be less than polite to get it done is THEIR problem. Not yours.

After six months of steroid treatment not working (and steroids literally drive me crazy) and doctors telling me that extreme pain builds character, fed up is NOT the word for it. I've not had normal blood pressure for a year now.

I just hope that I get 1. get an MRI and 2. be sent to an osteopath because physical therapy was doing more harm than good. Cold stretching? *shudders* I'm not sure how much damage the therapy did, because no tests/scans were taken before hand.

Wish me luck, Kirah.

Anyone able to recommend a good pen/paper RPG that doesn't really need multiple sourcebooks to get going? After Warhammer and Call of Cthulhu fancy something different! ...That and various fancy dice sets are sitting gathering dust

It's nearly 10 PM on a school night (read, a school night for myself as well) and my upstairs neighbors' kids, especially their daughter (who is around 6, if not older) is running around, screaming at the top of her lungs with her sister and/or friends.

I know my bro has mentioned that most of the D&D books are available online or downloadable PDF form. He does that when he can't actually get the physical book that he really wants.
