T__T my mom's birthday was two days ago and her cake decided it did not want me to eat any of it.

Yesterday, I was eating a piece of the cake and after the first bite, when I stuck my fork in it again to get another bite, the whole slice backflipped off the plate and landed icing-down on the carpet.

After I cleaned it up, I decided to just eat a Snickers instead of getting another piece of cake.

Then today I decided I would eat a piece of cake for breakfast since there were still 2 pieces left. I was going to eat it at the kitchen table so there would be no dropping of the cake on the living-room carpet like yesterday... everything was fine until I went to set the plate on the table and right when I set it on the table the cake backflipped off the plate and onto the kitchen floor, icing down. what the crap, cake?

Seriously, whoever summoned the demon that pushes my cake onto the floor, please call him off. (Not that there is any cake left in my house now, my mom ate the last piece when she got home...)

Is it bad that depending on the level of damage I'd have scraped the floor off the cake and eaten it anyway?

Edit: Got an old episode of the IT Crowd on in the background ...and overhear this "Well done on Project Icarus Roy" He worked on the Stargate Nine Chevron address!!!!! Argh - he was the IT Guy!!

I went to the Harold Washington Library(eight stories of books!) today and brought home a load of books for sewing doll clothes. Unfortunately, the tokyo doll school book I was interested in was in the closed stacks; I may have to reserve a copy of that one at some point.

passed the work Key test for the healthcare assistant course. the instructor looked at my scores and asked why the hell I was in this place instead of somewhere important.

I lost Lafayette's black tanktop, but I found out that Connors Ken tank fits, although it is a little short and tight.

Also Usagi seems to enjoy wearing female clothing as well. XD What is it with my boys?

The school buses started running in my county yesterday morning ..... Am I giving my age away to wonder what in the hell happened to summer vacation for kids? I used to have Memorial Day to Labor Day off and still managed to get three days for Thanksgiving, 2 weeks for Christmas through New Year's and a week for Easter along with assorted holidays and teacher workdays.

Makes me (and my daughter) glad we homeschool. She has 3 more weeks until her co-op starts, at least.

Anyone who thinks they'll want a ball joint doll making book, Japanese dollhouse miniatures book, Magick and Tarot cards, Forteana, clothing history, or craft book let me know. It looks like it's up to me to save for our new car and getting rid of analog books at the same time looks like a good start. I only charge an arm instead of an arm and a leg.
