Just be there, my father just went through surgery on his face because of a tumor that was blocking his breathing in his nose... It's going to be a hard and long process. Be there when he cries and go see his father with him.

My dad just f*cking walked out on us.

Only left us with 450 dollars...My mom's out driving around for the moron but I'm not sure if he'll ever come back. The idiot even took his laptop...No charger at that.

I'm sorry dear, I kind of know the feeling. I've had plenty of "dads" walk out on my mom, sister and I over the course my childhood. I always told my mom we can do it on our own because we could, as long as I had faith in her she found the strength to carry on with us.

I know, and I often was too. I'm really sorry to hear he doesn't care. That's the worst feeling ever, trust me I know. At this point I would say give your mom the support she probably needs. I'm not sure how old you are, it may be too much to ask of a young person but your mom will probably need at the very least a shoulder and a hug after coming home from looking for him.

I can't for the life of me find anything useful to say that doesn't sound incredibly stupid and adult-know-it-all even to me ... so I'll just give you a big virtual hug if you need one and let you know that there are people here (including me) who care and who will be there for you and listen if you ever need someone.
