Question : How does one go about making pants for these goaty footed fellows? Right now he's wearing a black leather fringed loin cloth. I mean, he looks great. My BBB Ariel loves him. (That's a whole 'nother adult rated story!) But...one of these days, it's going to get cold.

Oh...and how does one go about constructing a codpiece?

Your options are doing a wrap style pant like indian dhoti, or doing pants that lace or snap up the sides. Or really extremely loose fitting pants like harem style that have elastic or drawstring waists.

There is always taking off the hooves to get the pants on...

A codpiece is constructed like a G-string, only it has a padded shaped front, usually with a center seam. Actual codpieces were more like a fitted bag, then padded, then an outer cover. Unless the doll is Uncle, the fitted inner part is probably not needed. There are patterns available - no really! Google "codpiece pattern" and you will find them. For another "eeeewwwww" moment, in the 16th century they were stuffed with straw sometimes, and they were NOT cleaned. EEEEEEEWWWWWWWW!!!

Greyhaunt - That's about the lines I was thinking...only doing more so like the pants from my gi. But the Mu has these sculpted back legs... I'm not sure if pants would even look right - unless I did something more like this :Image - hakama pants.

I was wondering about the codpiece...although, at the moment, I'm not sure if my new Mu would appreciate that or not. He's more of a "let it all hang free" sort of fellow. He prefers the ladies to have *ahem* easy access. :o

I know I won't be able to get the Uncle until April next year...although I might try to talk my husband into letting me do a layaway through Mint on Card at the end of this year.

I don't suppose that either one of you have dealt with Mint on Card? That IS a LOT of money to spend on a doll...unless of course, Emery still has them in stock at Junky Spot. I've been so tangled up in real life stuff and dealing with depressing swings that the poor dolls have been ignored recently.

My babe always wears shorts, and they tie in the back. Here's a picture, it's not the best, but if you look closely you might be able to see.

Does your babe have the sculpting on the backs of the legs also?

Those are really cute pants. A friend of mine has named him Puck so those would be appropriate in style, I think.

He's gorgeous for such a tiny little fellow. I bet he's got the personality to match, too! (My tiny is royalty and VERY demanding.)

Hmmm..The Mu has the leg hairs sculpted on the backs of his legs. I may just put him in a pair of short shorts that lace up the sides and maybe a long over skirt and a poet's shirt? For now, he's wearing a fringed leather loin cloth. My eldest son was horrified when he saw my Mu nekkid on the dining room table.
