Dollieh Sanctuary

After roughly 8 hours of filing and sanding resin, then 2 hours of unstringing and restringing in order to get an O-ring on, Klar is finally back in one piece!

Until it comes time for me to ship his head off for a face-up, that is.



Of course, he jumps at the opportunity to model yet another hat that I've finished.



He can't let Tanja take all of the attention now, can he?





Klar's resin form is an Elfdoll Lydia head on a Blueblood doll body. The reason I ended up going with an Elfdoll Lydia head was because I gradually started seeing Klar in Tanja (Elfdoll Pandora is a modified Lydia after all). Kind of weird, but I'm not complaining. It's a lovely sculpt after all.

Because the Elfdoll female head is pretty small, I had to mod the Blueblood doll body's neck shorter and narrower. My first resin modding adventure and I didn't completely destroy the body.

Oh wow! I like it. Can't wait to see more of him. I did miss him ^.^

What are you doing with his vinyl counterpart?

He looks fantastic. And the outfit still fits him? That's great! Good job on the modding- it isn't so daunting once you take the leap. I hope you wore a respirator though- you don't want to breath in that resin dust.

I switched him to resin so he'd fit that outfit better. The sleeves were too long and the pants were too loose on him as an Obitsu!

I did all the modding inside a bucket of water, so no resin dust were inhaled in the process. My needle file did end up getting a little rusty even though I dried it really well after I was done using it. But that can be easily replaced! =P

Yeah, I believe I put him up for sale around mid-March in the Junky Spot forum. He was snapped up fairly quickly, though.
