Yes...Custom House is one of my favorite BJD companies. Even though some ppl say that more realistic sculpts are what's hot now, there is just something about CH sculpts and the old Delf sculpts that I love.

I'm tempted to keep her like this without linework.....but I'll hunker down and do it anyway.

Meh - who cares about what's "in"? Trends are for sheep - the rest of us buy what we like and dont' give a hoot what the others think!

She looks fantastic, as always! Can't wait to see her all finished up :)

Harblegarble!I say weird things when I get excited....

There are so many of you here that do fantastic face-ups! ;_; But this is why I buy blank heads, gotta practice to get close to this good! :D

Wow, she really looks great. I can see that being a finished faceup unto itself, soft and still very expressive. Although now I am curious to see what she'll look like all finished up. XD

Ah! Here you are!
:)

Yes, the Customhouse girls are lovely, and I'm with Greyhaunt (ON NO DID I ADMIT I AGREE WITH HER????) on that. Who cares what's "in"?

The CH bodies pose really, really well- even my $88 old model special sell body. It poses great. My Cebee (the newer body) needs to be restrung already- or maybe just tightened up a bit.

Truthfully, I am more drawn to the more unusual dolls anyway. It's one reason why I only have one Volks. I understand why people love them, but to me they are a little on the bland side (unless you get one of the special sculpts that cost as much as my car). I have a number of dolls that it seems like no one else on the planet has.

This is an exquisite face up (as always). I would be tempted to stop here too. She is just lovely.
I have one CH that I think they don't make any longer. She is the one called Shade, and I never see her on their site. She is beautiful, as all the CH sculpts are.

I don't think I have seen Shade. You should post her picture!

The one I would not be able to pass up is Saint Mina. If they release her again I'll have to rob a bank or something, but I must have her. At this point she is my Grail Doll.

I like the non glossed lips a lot. I haven't seen a lot of CH sculpts for some reason but the fact they make vinyl dolls and 35 cm range dolls never hurts :)

Well, I'm wrong. I swear I think I'm getting Alzheimer's.
My CH girls are Gabriel and Uriel.
Shade is by Dollndoll (or was).

Lol...I got excited to see a rare sculpt for a second until i finished reading the thread....If I had more space I would have a lot more CH dolls.

Here's what Stella looks like finished. I still need to fix her lashes a bit and her eyebrows are uneven but I like the slightly snarky look it gives her. I kind of prefer her in her unfinished state. I too liked the unglossed lips but in the end I ended up glossing it a little. I left the top lids unglossed to show off the subtle shimmer and only glossed lines on the lips so that there's a texture.
