The neck hole of the eye pocket Gretel

Hi, I was wondering if anyone had photos of the neck hole of the eye pocket Gretel. My big body finally came but her head looks like it's been modified in a bad way so it doesn't stay on the neck.

Just about all the 1/3 scale Obitsu and Parabox heads have similar looking neck attachment holes: a lozenge shaped opening cut into a dome shaped indentation.

The sides of the neck hole opening should be parallel, but they frequently become bowed out from an improperly connected neck piece. This can be remedied by removing the neck piece from the head and heating the neck hole area with a hair dryer. As the vinyl warms up, squeeze the sides of the head just above the neck hole till the neck hole looks like its original shape (above picture). Hold the head (or clamp/weight) while the vinyl cools. This will help the neck hole return to its original shape.

Now if there is evidence of cutting...

Thanks Evelien. That's what I thought it should be like. My "new" Gretel head has indeed been modified... -___-

I am going to contact the seller about because I had asked about any damage and this was not mentioned.

Just make sure there is evidence of cutting or trimming. Those neck holes can get pretty deformed from an improperly seated neck piece (and will stay that way if not repaired).

The neck hole on the right looked about the same (splayed open) once the neck piece was removed. If the doll had been stored for a length of time like that, the vinyl will hold that deformed shape.

Those neck holes will open a surprising amount. The top of the neck piece shaft (even the old style) might have been pushed up into it. If it sat like that for a while it will hold that shape even after being removed.

The thigh joint ball from the hip or the thigh joint ball out of the thigh vinyl?

And now I got that lovely old song in my head. "Hip bone connected to the thigh bone, Thigh bone connected to the knee joint. . ."

K2! You are so full of great help with the Obitsus.

I'm trying to take her apart to clean her so yeah , the hip ball away from the thigh joint ball from the hip. I got one off but now I have nothing to hold onto to get the other one off. I know with the wrist joints and such I should warm it up with a blow dryer.
