A Junky Spot box of my very own!

The Obitsu box and bubble wrap mummy!

She stood straight out of the box without her metal stand, but my mom insisted I put her on it, just to be safe. :3 This photo was after I put her eyes in, the head piece got in the way of her eye stalks, but am I glad she has eye pockets.

I still haven't managed to get a good picture of her eyes, they're so dark.

Her current location, sitting on a little wooden box I got for her, with a Junky Spot freebie, waiting patiently for me to do her outfit and face. :3

I totally love her, her face is so adorable!
A funny moment from the opening: my sister was watching me while I put her eyes in, and right as I pulled her headcap off, my sister says to me "...her head comes off." To which I replied, "how else are you supposed to get her eyes in?" Like it was the most natural thing in the world.

Haha...in my apartment that is the most natural thing. I can't tell you how many times my roommate who's not a doll person say things like, "you left an eye on the coffee table" or "do you need help removing that arm?" or "you know you left so-and-so's head in the freezer, right?" (that's a legit thing to make stubborn hot glue easier to remove) and then he pauses and shakes his head.

Congratulations on getting her home! Does she have a name yet?

Oh she looks lovely! Are you going to do the faceup yourself?? I've been contemplating an Obitsu as a future buy but I'm too lazy to attempt faceups...I hope to see photos of her with her faceup soon!! Her eyes are so big, she's going to look adorable <3~

Yes, I am doing her face-up myself! :D And no, she doesn't have a name yet. ): I have this total block, maybe she'll tell me when I get her outfit finished, right now she's just "my Misuzu". My next adventure is to find a spray sealant that's safe for vinyl, since I forgot to buy some MSC. :x I might just end up with an acrylic sealer that's paint on for now and get a spray when I next send out for doll things.

She's so adorable. I can't wait to get one of the vinyl Obitsu. They're so wonderful.

I have a quick question. Is it at all possible to get an Obitsu doll with the faceup done? I'd like to get the Sheba head on a 60cm boy Obitsu body (http://parabox.jp/eng_new/para_sheba.html), but I'd really prefer one that's all painted. If that's not possible, I'd have to commission someone to do the faceup which is ok too but just a little more hassle I guess...

At the bottom of that page I linked it says "The Sheba head and body sets are available for purchase" but if I click that link it takes me to the 60cm Obitsu body sets (http://www.parabox.jp/eng_new/60_body.html) where I can only see female body sculpts and no males, so it confuses me even more @__@

I don't think so, unless they're a special release, I don't believe Obtisu does "standard" face ups.

As far as I know, and someone is free to correct me if I'm wrong, that you have to buy the 60cm female body and replace the bust part with a male yourself. Emory sells them pre-done, and I believe I read somewhere on the JS forums that he does them himself?

... I read entirely too much. :c

Congratulations, she looks adorable already!!

It's unbelievable how fast roommates/boyfriends/family catch up with the doll talk. Just last week I told my boyfriend I'd bought a body from someone in the UK and a head from someone in the USA, and he said "Oh, so you're gonna make a hybrid again?" XD To him it wasn't a big deal at all anymore and I couldn't help but laugh out loud.
