Bracelets/bangles for a 60cm Obitsu?

Postby Evelien » Tue Jun 07, 2011 5:12 am

... what size should they be..?

My Gretel is still on her way but I'm going crazy in accessory shops haha, I'd love to know what size 'bangles' (bracelets) I need for her, so I can buy some cheap rings. Does anyone have any idea..? Inches or cm/mm are fine :). Any input is very very welcome :)

I got some brackets in the mail, they turned out to be tiny hair ties. That way they could stretch over the hands if needed!

I don't know what brackets are, if I google search for 'brackets' images I only find braces (for teeth) haha, so I'm not sure what you mean exactly? Sorry, language barrier I guess... But just today I bought those tiny coloured rubber bands as bracelets for my smaller Obitsus, is that what you mean..? But for my big Gretel I'd love to have non-stretchy (or only very slightly stretchy) bangles, so if someone could estimate/measure the needed size for a bangle that I can slip over the hand with a little bit of effort and then won't fall off, I'm very very very happy!! ^^

This is kind of strange, but what we've done for our Tea Gardner 60cm Obitsu, was cut off the tops/mid section of a pair of 1/6 tall boots!

They make great bangles as they're the right shape, have a good thickness, and have a very slight suppleness to be able to get over the hands.

You can paint them if you need different colors, too. ^^

Cool idea! Can you tell me what size they are? (diameter)

By the way... are the hands of a big Obitsu just as removable as the hands on a small Obitsu..? Cause in that case the bangles don't even have to be big enough to slip over the hands.. lol. Didn't even think of that.

Yes, we took her hands off to get the bracelets on. ^^ They're not as easy to get on/off as the 1/6 Obitsu, but they do come off with some persuasion. ^^

The 'boot' bracelets are about 7/8" inside diameter. ^^

:o That big? :o I bought 18 and 19mm rings and I thought they'd be too big, but apparently they'll be too small then :(. (7/8" is 22 mm)

Remember, with the large Obitsus the hair dryer is your friend.

Haha yeah but I want the bangles to bangle ;). I don't want them to be stuck on my Gretel's arms too tightly.

And spell checker fails me again, by brackets I mean't bracelets.
