Oh my God you guys... I am soooo proud right now... I know it's still a beginner's face-up but so far I've never managed to do a face-up this pretty... I can't stop looking at it..! Could it be the difference between resin and vinyl..? I looooove the look and feel of resin... I hate to admit it but I love this girl more than I love my Obitsus... oh my.

Tips are welcome by the way, I want to learn. I can tell I'm getting better but there's a lot of things that need improving. I think doing eyebrows is very difficult, for example, and it shows . I also don't like the way the gap between the lips looks, but I can't seem to fix it.

Adding gloss and lashes as we speak. Might also add some more "hair" onto the eyebrows.

Hmmm...eyebrows....
If you want more realistic eyebrows, you might clean up the bottoms a bit. On a human, the bottoms of the eyebrows are more of a clean line, and the top is where you see the ends of individual hairs.
Also, when I do eyebrows, I use the brush/pencil to make lines, and then fill it in with pastel in a really close color to that. It makes it so you can see individual hairs, but they're more subtle and you don't have to draw as many little strokes to get them to look full.

What is it you don't like about the lips? You could use a darker color toward the gap, so that it looks like there is a shadow there.

I love the eyeshadow, it's really cool! Is it shimmery on the inside corner?

No matter how much I sharpen my pencils, the lines I draw on the eyebrows start looking like a big clutter once I draw them closer together. I guess I need more practice. I did darken them a bit just now.

The lips... In between them is a gap that I can't reach so it's pretty much staying white with a messy line and I think it's very ugly. I'll try the shadow tip, thanks!

And yes, the eyeshadow is a bit shimmery, I added a tiny bit of gold glitter powder

This is a really pretty face.

For the crack between the lips, the trick I've used is put a drop of your colour in it and then use a toothpick or other fine point to drag it out to the edges. I'll see if I can find the Youtube video I learned it from for you.

Hmm, I haven't used acrylic paints, only pastels and watercolour pencils (and some glitter powder). But here's how she looks now, my Ellie... I think I'm in looooove

Thanks so much ^^ I loooove her. I love her even much, much more than I thought I would. I just gave her a second restring since I got her (she came from a smoker's home but fortunately the scent of smoke was only in her old elastics!) and she poses nicely now. The first time I did it, I strung her arms way too tightly and her body way too loosely, lol. She's perfect now . I'm so happy I was taught beforehand, it's nice to see someone do it in real life, rather than watching a YouTube vid .

I can't stop taking pictures of my Ellie, unfortunately it's past midnight here so it's too dark for the pictures to really be good. I haven't made her any clothes yet, I *need* to do that tomorrow so that I can take her out for a shoot on Sunday! I can't wait!! I'm not sure what her style is yet, though... she came with lolita shoes but that's not my kind of thing, and the only other thing I have is a cute pair of jeans Converses... I hope my stash of fabric will inspire me tomorrow

I should *really* go to bed now but I'm hooked... Just staring at her all the time... Am I weird? XD

I did that when I got Alex...I wasn't expecting the graspy hands, and I spent about an hour just making him hold stuff.

Nope, not weird, I've been making Evie do all sorts of poses cos I'm equally addicted! And randomly petting her because her new body is soooo smooth and nomnom of win!
