I just took the box my old Jem and the Holograms are in out of the attick again.
I heard they were doing a new Jem and that rememberd me of the fun I used to have with them and my friend way back when I was 10-ish (39 now ;) ). I liked seeing them again and I might just find a place to let them sit instead of putting them back in the box they have been in for more then 30 years.

Hope you enjoy some vintage too!

One of my all time favorite cartoons!
I wonder if we still have our old dolls around somewhere or if they were the victims of one of our cullings...

She was a hand-me-down from my sister so I never knew I had a Jem doll in my hands. lol I thought she was some grandmother doll that was made :P I don't have her anymore now, something I will continue to kick myself for. lol

Oh I know the kicking yourself part.
I have been treasuring a peaches and cream barbie for over 16 years next to my other old barbies. But that one was almost complete with jewelry and shoes and all. Up untill we were in a move and I let my now ex husband (not an ex because of this tho! lol) handle the putting the boxes in the moving van while me and my mom handled the getting them out at the new adres part of the game.
All my old barbies were in one box... guess which box I never saw again after that move? :(
Luckely my jem's didn't fit in that box and did end up at the new adres.

That's terrible! I'd be so distraught if a box I packed didn't make the move >_<
I gave up all my old dolls to Goodwill, so I'd like to think some kid out there is getting enjoyment out of them.

Well the family that moved in after us in our old house had 2 little girls. So I guess IF they checked the box before trowing it out they were in for a very nice suprise!
I would how ever appreciated a phone call...
What makes it even worse for me is that those next to the jem and 2 monchichi were the only toy's I managed to safe from my dad tossing ALL my toys without consorting me or my mom (if he had done so I would have gladely taken all of them to my own house! But he never told me or mom it was a problem my old stuff was standing in the basement...)

Yuck. Sorry to hear about that. I donated all my old dolls because I had no use for them. I hadn't yet discovered there was a whole hobby behind them. I discovered it a few months after the donation where I sat there like "NOOOOOOOO." lol Oh well. :P Are you excited to see the new Jem dolls they are releasing?

I have a Synergy and Jem that I don't use outside of my website work. Found both at junk stores 20 years apart. I ended up with the paper dolls as a kid having grown up dirt poor.

The whole series is out on DVD now. It's... It is what it is.
