I just learned of bratzillaz the Witch cusions of the Bratz. So I keep thinking there is bound to be a huge parental backlash at these since they are
A. Bratz
B Witches
Two things that seem to be targets for Parents going crazy negative about them
what are your thoughts on the subject?
Also is it just me or does the Jade one look like Lady Gaga?

i did not know that the Bratzillaz were witches. i thought that those little hats were party hats and that they had all donned their capes and were off to a nice holiday party.
Maybe parents will think the same. ♥

Short blond hair dark bar across the eyes? Is it me or will Blade Runner call and ask for its replicant back?
Any parental back lash will just make kids want them more, companies do this on purpose. If it bothers you personally don't buy it. When I buy a doll it's not for it's philosophy it's for the doll.

Why would any parent have a problem with witch dolls..? Is that a religious thing or something?

Yes, the fear/hate of anything involving witches is a religious thing, but those that have a problem with stories about or toys of witches are really in the minority I think.

In the minority, yes, but they can be very, very vocal about their nutty opinions.
Dezera, how pink is Cloetta's skin? Is it fantasy-pink like Draculara's or does it just look that way due to her color scheme?

I don't know how Italian parents reaction will be, but these are the first Bratzs that I actually want to buy and I'm really hoping that they will be available soon in my country too! XD The fully articulated body was the decisive thing.

I just bought two. They're beautiful.
I see that they are witches, but how are they worse that anything Monster High has dropped?
As for Cloetta, it's really a pale skin tone. None of the girls have fantasy skin tones.

Every time Mattel makes a Halloween Witch Barbie there are plenty of nasty comments from the evangelicals. Secret Spells Barbie and Friends was by far the worst offender to date. The very idea of kids mixing up Kool Aid potions had them foaming at the mouth. Same thing with the Wicked Witches and they aren't even for kids, and don't get me started on the furor over pregnant Midge, Earring Magic Ken or the one AA Barbie Basics dress. It's all so absurd. I have the dress that was on the one AA Barbie Basics. There is a lot of cleavage but it is an adult collector's doll. People getting ballistic over a low cut dress on a collector's Barbie doll really need to get a life, IMHO. In real life that dress would have actually been rather conservative for a cocktail party in some places...
